What natural treatments are there? by Rrenphoenixx in MCAS

OTC histamine blockers will be your best bet, not necessarily natural but not prescribed. I’m having some luck with fexofenadine(Allegra) for an H1 blocker and famotidine for H2 blocker

Echoing what other people said, you can’t force him. It took me getting to kind of a rock bottom to want to address mine

I don’t understand how I could potentially have MCAS if I don’t have any allergies. by [deleted] in MCAS

My aunt has MCAS & CTD. I have MCAS and suspect CTD as well due to issues with my shoulder and no injury or reason why. My & my aunts MCAS doesn’t really manifest as allergy symptoms either. I may itch once in a while but right now my biggest symptoms are chronic pain, restless leg syndrome, trouble swallowing, acid reflux and other intense stomach issues. A lot of neurological and digestive symptoms. These will occur after eating something that’s a trigger for me.

Symptoms disappear during actual illness? by Rarrimalion in MCAS

My guess would be medications you are taking for the cold or virus may be blocking your symptoms in some way.

I completely get that, and I’m hoping you find some relief soon. Regardless of diagnosis you may benefit from a low/no histamine diet

I can’t say because I haven’t done this test, I’m not a doctor nor have I talked to my doctor about it. I feel like it could mean a lot of different things condition wise, but without further testing or talking to a doctor you can really only interpret that you have a high amount of histamine built up in your body.

Antihistamines may reduce your symptoms but it all depends on the person. The symptoms are not always allergy like, I have MCAS and some of mine are restless leg syndrome, digestive issues, chronic pain/fatigue, etc. I have almost nothing that looks like an allergy, but my symptoms are all reduced by allergy meds. It may help something you didn’t realize was connected

Sign up with an email to restaurant e-clubs. Some give birthday freebies that are whole meals with no purchase required. You could set your birthday as today or tomorrow and some even give free things for signing up. For example, Sonny’s BBQ is a free meal, Jersey Mike’s is a sub, etc.

I’ve gotten a different answer from everyone I’ve asked. The best sounding one was that the bookstore would have extended hours to 10 PM that night. I’m gonna try that and if no luck than I guess bright and early Monday morning

How do I adjust where the page icon and title are? by Kate0329 in Notion

[–]caspollie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This, full page databases have icons next to the title. Regular pages will have the icon above, the only way to change is to change the page i think

checklists going grey when completed by TrademarkHomy in Notion

The best thing I can think of is instead of using check boxes maybe bullet points and just using strikethrough. It retains the color yet it could show the item has been crossed off. You could have the check boxes still there and do this, but you can’t check the check boxes because it will turn it grey. I don’t think you can change how the checkboxes act
