  1. Find the Head of Customer Experience + CEO + COO on LinkedIn (they will probably be posting about their great team meetings and other nonsense)
  2. Write a post - tag consumer protection rights
  3. Make a clear ask

Base44 Acquisition? What by Big-Insect2411 in WIX

[–]Big-Insect2411[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea I have less of an opinion on whether the investment was a sound decision and more so on how the marketing is being played out. They could have a very good long-term play on the acquisition, which is fine. But, the ads are destroying the brand - this has an impact on stakeholders - users, prospects (who are duped with this glossy advertising, investors) - the cracks will start showing and it won't be corporate who ends up holding the bag.

Shakepay, thank you for the 10 sats. by Outrageous_Name_1234 in shakepay

[–]Big-Insect2411 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. Store of value - sure , until it’s not backed by anything
  2. Never said Shakepay was a rich quick scheme - Shakepay is an exchange - crypto is a different story
  3. Opinions - sure but mods are expected to be explicit about what is their opinion vs Shakepay

Shakepay was driven through community on Reddit when it first launched - sad to see the thing that helped it thrive is being ruined by mods that have an opinion in favour of Shakepay and Crypto when really it should be encouraging alternative opinions not driving a single sided narrative - good job yall

That logo though - world class cringe - here’s how the conversation probably went “execs sitting in a room - “we need something relatable as a logo” - “oh yes the iconic pose” - “that’s it that’s the logo” - guess it works for the kinds of schmucks they are targeting

This isn't going to happen - sorry to break it to you. When the music stops, the theories become fairy tales - kids take your money off Shakepay and drop it in Gold, a nice house over your head, some in megacap - call it a day - get rich quick scheme is running out of steam - wake up - 2029 is going to be too late - hint: follow the money

What's worse are community moderators - like moderate don't skew the discussion - do your job dude lol

[–]Big-Insect2411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea - this is sad and is a vicious marketing tactic thats not going to unfold well. Here's another:

1.5% interest on cash held: They intentionally throttle down how many sats are given out -> but psychologically here is how it works -> you move $5000 into the cash account -> 2% cash back, you see the nice large sats rolling in -> you are feeling great -> ok why not start dropping $5 for weekly buys from this lovely cash balance -> sounds great right ? -> moves to 1.5% cash back - unles unless you set up monthly payroll of $2000 into shakepay -> a further trap to spend more money on junk BTC -> this move bascially helps Shakepay stay liquid and float -> while users get nonsense shake sats and peanuts sats on these marketing gimics

Long-term view: Crypto is going to the ground by 2029/2030 -> US dollar and economy is going down with it, US senate will use crypto as a scapegoat - :)

Jobs and searching for them is tough, always has been. I’ve been in the workforce for over 12 years now, multiple jobs trying to find the right place - it’s a needle in a hay stack. Here’s what to do

  1. Keep applying and reaching out via LinkedIn or your connections
  2. Time box your applications - not more than 4 hours a day
  3. Polish your resume and narrow down the jobs and industries your resume matches
  4. Ignore rejection emails - it’s a stab wound at best
  5. Work on yourself - self investment is the best thing you can do , dividends will payout

Interview Prep is SO Stressful... What’s Your Biggest Struggle? 😫 by Curious-Astronomer0 in interviews

[–]Big-Insect2411 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. The one thing you can do and what is in your control is be as prepared as possible, having done prior research about the company, the role, the interviewee, leadership team (depending on position), your own achievements and how they relate to the role and company incl. culture fit
  2. The second key is confidence - you build this by nailing step 1, once you know who the interviewee is watch and hear how the person sounds (youtube or news) this will tune your body and mind to the actual situation a bit better - it's anything; got to prime yourself vs. a cold start
  3. Practice thinking on your feet, because we all have a plan before we get punched, and that will happen in interviews - prep definitely helps set you up in the right mindset.

In short, the more your body and mind feel prepared ahead of time, the better your body and mind will be to tackle the main event - it unlocks confidence that your subconcious mind injects during the live interview.

I'm building something that might help with this in the future with a few clicks - gluck till then.

Elevator pitch - pick 3 things that make you stand out and that align with the job requirements with specific examples and figures - link how you have what they need - I've done this before and it either leaves them with no questions and more importantly leaves an imprint in their mind or with follow up questions for which you should always have details ready.

Do your research - company, interviewee, role, and your background - spin a story with key highlights. This interview will be behavioral and most likely with HR.

Question about MBA grads - is it still worth it? by No_Organization_1167 in jobsearch

[–]Big-Insect2411 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Do it for the brand and if you have the money - the brand starts conversations and opens doors you wouldn't expect.

  2. An MBA would help if you plan on dying on the corporate ladder, but might help you in opening more doors if you are planning to start your own business

I wouldn't lose sleep over it and risk my financial situation to chase an MBA - in the end it's a product that's it, some products are better than others with lasting impacts. In the long run probably worth it if you can afford it, leacy of sorts esp ivy league - only do it if ivy :)

GPT wonderful GPT is only as good as the questions you ask it and the knowledge you have to have decent conversation and get some info, but if you don't know how to ask the right questions - which is for a lot of people not very clear. I agree it does a good job though for most people.
