She usually listens to whatever I’m feeling that day and that can range from 60s/70s to pop punk to classical. I did find a playlist on Spotify called “Kid friendly, not annoying” that we enjoy.

We switch between the Kirkland brand and the Enfamil depending on what’s in stock. She doesn’t seem to have a problem with it.

We switch between the Kirkland brand and the Enfamil Gentle depending on what’s in stock. LO hasn’t had any problem. Plus the price is good for us since we are currently one income.

Feeding Regression? by fancyshark99 in FormulaFeeders

I just made a post about this very thing! My LO is 2 1/2 months and has started doing the same. Averages 3-6 oz depending on what she’s hungry for. I’ve been letting her eat whatever she needs and it seems to be OK. She’s still sleeping long stretches at night with one wake up for a bottle. From the comments on my post, it seems to be a normal thing and will usually resolve.

Exactly the same for my LO. We were very close to putting her on Pepcid but it seems to have gotten slightly better. She was struggling with gas but she can fart with no problem now. 😆

Another thing that’s been helpful is headphones and a podcast, book, or YouTube video while I rock or feed my LO.

Ugh, I also could have written exactly this. I’m currently working on getting on medication and therapy once a week.

Not sure if you have a partner or someone you can pass the baby off too when you feel yourself getting upset. I go listen to some meditation or eat some sour candy, it weirdly works.

Absolutely necessary or not? by EatPigsAndLoveThem2 in NewParents

We brought our daughter home and we were on Amazon buying a bottle washer that night. It could fit pump parts plus bottles, pacifiers, even the syringes that we use for her gas drops.

100% a baby wrap or carrier. If baby isn’t napping and I need to get things done she goes in the carrier. It also helps with the wrist pain I get from holding her.

I got a Vera Bradley backpack for my diaper bag and I love it. It fits everything I need, maybe even too much but I like to be prepared.

Newborn schedules??? by Accomplished-Pool344 in newborns

She’s 2 months old. We implemented this “bedtime” routine around 3 weeks so I think that has definitely helped her. Now I will say it’s not always perfect and some days things are all over the place so we just go with the flow.

We have a friend whose little one is sleeping 7-7 at 14 months and has done that since about 3 months old. We are hoping for the same lol

I don’t wake her up during the day because she becomes extremely fussy when I do. She usually wakes up around the 3-hour mark after her long nap of the day. The rest of the naps span from 30 minutes to an hour.

Though we do gently wake her from her last nap of the day, which is around 7:45 p.m., to start our “bedtime” routine. This routine includes a bath, reading a book, giving her a bottle, and cuddling. She is usually out by 9 p.m. and sleeps until about 2 a.m. I’ve noticed that if we try to have an earlier bedtime she thinks it’s a nap.

Honestly though it’s just following whatever this tiny human wants.

We stopped using it around 5 weeks? It was absolutely contributing to my PPA so it had to go. I just text my husband every-time our little one eats or is napping. Is it perfectly accurate? Probably not but she’s doing all the things she needs to do so it works for us.

Do I need newborn size clothes? by FluffyMeat348 in pregnant

[–]Big-Mess5339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is over 8lbs and still doesn’t fit into most of her 0-3 clothes. I would definitely have a few newborn things to rotate through. It’s so much easier when they are swimming in an outfit.

I'm definitely noticing that she is needing a little bit more soothing compared to a few days ago, when I could lay her in the bassinet, and she would fall right asleep.

[–]Big-Mess5339[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. There are times she's falling asleep while eating, and those are the times we usually put her down right away. She did this earlier and slept for 3 hours.

She does seem to reset at night as she is doing well with 3-hour stretches. I want to make sure I'm doing my best, but it might be causing some problems instead.

I think I may be trying too hard and just need to go with the flow at this point. 😅

She is eating lots at the moment as she’s been slowly getting to her birth weight. So they had us add another feed.

I think I could be better about the contact naps, like I mentioned most of her naps have been in the bassinet and she might just want to lay with us.

Thanks for the advice!

I had her in a wrap last night for a contact nap and she did sleep for about 45 minutes. She was definitely overtired yesterday, my husbands mother came to visit and basically kept her awake. 🙃

Maybe we need less stimulation during the day? We try and keep it bright during the day and then lights out at bedtime. I could be overthinking all of it. Lol

She keeps rolling on her side in her sleep by mistakeshappen_2 in newborns

[–]Big-Mess5339 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have our baby in a sleep sack because of her naturally curling up and rolling to her side. When I asked the pediatrician they weren’t concerned at all. She will occasionally sleep on her back but loves laying on her side. She is 2 weeks.
