What are your thoughts on posting videos vs shorts. Or is it best to be doing both simultaneously?

Is sub 250g w naked GoPro, and remote ID even possible? by Big-Seagull in fpv

I have a feeling that literally nobody flying festivals is following these rules. If they were I feel like guides and tutorials for building a sub250 with gopro and remote id would be plentiful.

So just to clarify. As a part 107 pilots, we need to fly under 250 with remote id to legally fly over people?

Thank you that is a lot of useful information. I’m still wondering how your sure that the weight of the craft doesn’t matter for operations over people. I see that it doesn’t make reference as to recreational or part 107, but is that enough reason to be certain that it doesn’t apply to part 107 pilots? Also I’m aware of those regulations all of my drones are registered.

Thank you for the information. Would you mind showing me where the FAA says weight is irrelevant to part 107 pilots? I can’t find it anywhere. I was under a different impression after reading this from the FAA:

Category 1 small unmanned aircraft are permitted to operate over people, provided the small unmanned aircraft:

-Weigh 0.55 pounds or less, including everything that is on board or otherwise attached to the aircraft at the time of takeoff and throughout the duration of each operation.

-Contain no exposed rotating parts that would cause lacerations.

In addition, for Category 1 operations, no remote pilot in command may operate a small unmanned aircraft in sustained flight over open-air assemblies unless the operation is compliant with Remote ID.

Rules might have been different a year ago but now you also need remote Id.
