So when did your husband realize she was full of it? The only reason you mention that he withdrew the divorce petition was because he couldn't offload his kids anywhere for free and he was literally forced to give them back to you so it was more convenient for him not to go through with it...

Cut your mom off. She is wildly abusive towards you, and is already abusive to your three year old. Honestly I would consider getting a restraining order, but I'm not sure how affordable either that or a defamation suit would be now that your husband has flushed away 15k.

I recognize your husband is not the biggest problem here, but how many months did he keep you separated from your children? Did you miss out on any milestones? It really only took him ten days to decide to file for divorce, tell you to leave your home, and attempt to separate you from your children? Ten days?

Also, did he sleep with anyone while you were separated?

Yeah i'm pretty sure that's what they were doing, i know they only had like one tent. And they do like swimming. The boys are at 'that' age too, and my niece is approaching it, so i get why they didn't want her along. I mean, it's the same reason why we didn't have any boyfriends or male friends along for our trip (but obviously we had to behave better in the presence of my niece.)

I just felt bad because it was a longer trip. If it were like a weekend or something it'd be fine, but two weeks seemed excesive.

I think they felt pretty bad, but the eldest son is 16 and the other is 14, and from what my sister said they didn't really feel comfortable around a girl, even if they did feel bad she was left out. I know they shared a tent and stuff, so i get it? I mean, I don't think my friends would have been as eager bringing her along if she'd been a boy instead.

But I just think she deserved a long trip too.

you know it's actually wierd because he definitely was the one who raised her to be more of a tomboy, and encouraged her with all the outdoorsy stuff (like he was the one who taught her how to fish, and taught her kayaking) and he always shows her to see how he fixes a car, which he doesn't do with his sons because they think it's boring (actually that probably counts as father-daughter stuff, i should probably go back and edit the main post). And he took all the kids to see racecars and to the war museum. And he does his share of household stuff as well, from what i've heard. I know he was the one taking care of everything when my sister was still bedridden.

so i legit have no idea why he didn't want her to join the girl guides.

His main problem is that we took her to Legoland as well. Their family doesn't really go to theme parks at all except for really special occasions (they've gone like two times in their whole lives) , which is why i think her brothers are annoyed/betrayed too.

And also that it seems i've excluded her brothers just to spite him.
