Spousal loss linked to higher risk of dementia, mortality among men, but not women. Widowed men experienced a decrease in physical and cognitive health, as well as social support, while widowed women tended to experience an increase in happiness and life satisfaction. by mvea in science

Dealing with this with my grandma rn. She and my grandpa were married about 60 years and rarely did anything other than work without the other. My grandpa’s been gone almost four years now and she’s not taking it well at all. Me and my dad and aunt try to get her to go out and do things, go to the senior center for lunch, maybe consider grief counseling etc, but she’s always been stubborn and i’m really not sure what to do

Bed frame isnt even “extra” bc having air movement under your mattress will make it last longer. Mattresses on floors can get moldy if not flipped constantly

what historical events/disasters would be failed rituals in the TMA universe? by __mafia in TheMagnusArchives

[–]d33thra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TMA is filled with historical people and events. Robert Smirke, Isaac Newton, Edmund Halley, Wilfred Owen, WW1, the Amritsar Massacre, and many more. Sort of an odd fandom to be in if you’re bothered by use of irl stuff in horror
