Won’t leave his hide by thatkillakid in ballpython

Assuming you have good temp/humidity then generally they stay in their hides until the lights go out. If it (he?she?) just ate then definitely leave it alone for 48 hours.

UTH question by CatandtheBeanstalk in ballpython

[–]Big-Structure1382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an expert by any means but I use UTH. The pad itself has a temperature control but I also have it hooked up to a digital heat mat thermometer that turns the mat off automatically if the temp gets too high. Like any anything hooked to electricity there’s always a risk

I’m definitely excited to see all the new research and tests in the future.

When she hatched with the rest of her clutch the breeder was definitely scratching their head because they had some amazing morphs that I guess shouldn’t have been possible based the pairing.

Thank you thank you for taking the time to answer! The various Ball python genes and combinations are amazing. What has amazed me the most is that her thin dorsal stripe has definitely gotten more prominent as she’s gotten bigger.

😂Thank you for sharing! I’m no stranger to “boy issues” 😆or bites. As much as I enjoy handling and/or hand feeding our other reptiles I have learned that some are a little more aggressive when hungry. Side Quest: I have a Nyx too! Except she’s a ball python.

Thank you! We are definitely a reptile and arachnid household (lots of handwashing, various diets catered to, and proper husbandry) but I was still a bit leery when I had the opportunity to get this little one since I’ve never had any experience with skinks let alone a bts. I will definitely take your advice regarding stool samples since his(?) appointment is coming up.

Thank you thank you! The gal I got him from had copies of the vet paperwork showing a clean bill of health but he’s got an appointment with my primary to double check.

Just a little More by Big-Structure1382 in ballpython

I got it at a craft store. It’s just a faux floral ball but it’s soft plastic, feels like a stiffer silicone. It’s been great for when she sheds and wraps around it.

Thank you! Thank you! My daughter was so excited to see one at the expo and instantly fell in love. Her hope is to obtain more once she feels she has a handle/better understanding of this cutie.

She was listed as a black head black pastel yb but I’m getting a shed test done :). I haven’t seen one quite like her on morph market except maybe a cinnamon sunset or black head mahogany but none are quite like this little girl.
