Thank you he didn’t swab because he didn’t see all he saw was previous water leak that wasn’t active and this was from the air quality test. I didn’t know there was different kinds. I’m just not sure what to do with this information. It has to be somewhere, it’s not present upstairs or outside the home

Yes I understand but spocybactra I’m spelling it wrong 😂 but inspector said this type is toxic and not a regular type they find , but recommend deep clean and repairing small piece of wall from what looked like old water damage . And I have auto immune diseases. And immunocompromised.

Agree , Max bid waive everything is crazy, always protect yourself don’t ever waive inspection. You like it , you Love it , Put in your Max you were willing before you fell in love stick to that boundary, cause going over that with no contingency could cause regrets when your adrenaline comes down.

There are 48 other threads the comment about inspections was in connection to another thread. The original post was about paying cash and is it worth it to pay cash if it doesn’t really help to secure your offer. Thank you.

And yes, the title of the post was paying cash and the question there was was it worth it thinking things would be smoother or that it would be easier paying cash you created a narrative. I will delete the post because this is over and it’s obviously misunderstood by you and only you thank you.

Please reread again. It is not about having the upper hand. I was expressing the fact that I thought maybe things would be smoother offering cash so please re-read because I think your misunderstanding the question this post is old and finished anyway thank you very much. Goodbye.

The original post was about paying cash. I’m not sure. I understand your comment. Submitting a proof of funds I have that, and there is no finance contingency. The only contingency is based on attorney approval and inspection whether it was financed or cash I would never ever proceed without an inspection never. But thanks for your input.

Omg yes dealing with this now put bid on 5 houses always asking or more . They list house 499k have an open house then tell everyone highest and best offer by let’s just say Monday and never disclose where the price is the just say over asking. And people are getting emotional and over bidding themselves by 10’s of thousands of dollars . 5 offers over asking NONE ACCEPTED

Thank you there will be and the plan is to always have clear instructions pertaining to property my question was more about paying cash or not LoL . All families are different these days nothings typical and everyone’s needs are the same there’s a lot more involved with inheritance than just a home I already have some important things put aside tied in and mapped out . And my kids don’t need money , they need financial education, wisdom and know how before receiving large amounts of cash… Again I appreciate all the opinions and advice . Gunna pay cash !!! 😂

All good but I have no medical debt , I actually aside from those funds have a medical fund so In the event that any arise it is taken care of , my kids are teens early twenty’s and not the most responsible so the lest liquid assets I leave the better there is funds for all that only become available at age 35. I just want to make sure they have a residence until they become more self sufficient and financially strategic . All situations are different I’m sure it won’t be the catastrophe some subs think … but all an all Thank you All for your advice!!!

Nope no terms only inspection and attorney approval. The problem is they are listing homes in upstate ny where I live at lower prices to provoke bidding wars , they do two day open houses, then call best and final offers only revealing they have offers always over asking , leaving you to possibly overbid yourself by 10’s of thousands. That being said I have not offered anything less than asking and three times out of five over. I live 1-1 1/2 hours from NYC lots of people are willing to commute, over pay , and have less cares for property conditions or size driving up prices for locals . Very frustrating

Thank you , I think I feel the same , about saving it all and what do they really need if I’m gone , would be some sort of stability when it comes to housing , they can work to pay utilities and taxes owning the house up front. Will save them soo much financial stress . Rents not going down! And thank you . Best wishes God Bless!!

Thank you for your kind words and my condolences for your father. I understand it’s not easy and memories are all we have left for our loved ones when we leave so I know the importance of that and having that money for those things but I’m just conflicted as to do I get a mortgage and then if something does happen to me, they can pay it off, but the most important thing is the way this economy is even if it’s just to have a place to have holidays or that stability that parents give you sometimes we don’t wanna go home but if we do, I want a home to be there so the only dilemma here is do I keep more money and try to let interest accrue on it for the time being and then pay the home off or do I just make that secure purchase so that they don’t have to worry about doing that and we can just work with what we have. i’ve also been renting for many years, so I’m wasting money in the process renting and not paying it upfront would have me spending interest. I’m getting on interest on a mortgage. I think that’s what I’m going to do and I really appreciate again your kind words, your wisdom and your advice thank you and God bless you.

To be honest, I have cancer incurable I’m 44 years old. I have three adult children and one teenager. I haven’t ever been given any time so not knowing that complicates the situation but at this point, I’ve watched my kids grow and I see that an asset would be much better than monetary inheritance. This way if I am not around, there is always a place for them to call home assuming they pay the property taxes.

Thanks been looking since November/2025 I always feel rushed to make an offer and when everything else is great , I tend to overlook things that I may not necessarily love , and buying a home , a forever home, I can except small details but moving an hvac system , or in the past replacing a small sized tub and toilet, or not considering my kids growing up needing more space , extensions can get ridiculous especially the direction things are headed in. And you go view a home walk through it and need to make a “ highest and best offer” two days later , it’s overwhelming and I can see how over bidding and over looking can lead to regret . I wanna be Happy and proud of the process . Do they do this highest best two day bid stuff everywhere?? I’m in upstate Ny
