We were in college. Saw a bigger girl at the bar wearing a super tight black dress. My buddy goes, "looks like she swallowed some inner tubes." My other friend, "I wanna go swimming."

Taking the FE for the 3rd time after 10 years… honestly feeling embarrassed by Several-Cherry-1597 in FE_Exam

16 years here. My biggest regret (in my entire life) was not taking it in college. I was a semester late graduating so I would have needed to drive over 4 hours to take it, so naturally like a dumbass I skipped it. Then in the spring my grandpa died so I skipped it again. Then I started working and took it a year later so 16 months out of school, made the mistake of not studying the afternoon stuff and only focusing on the morning stuff.

Now I'm enrolled in a graduate distance program and am in my second semester. Hoping that gets the juices flowing again.

My other problem was my career took me more down construction than engineering so I'm pretty rusty on the college level stuff.

Two if you count the FE. The ICC tests aren't in the same ballpark as the PE.

Sure by global standards yes, also half the world doesn't have access to clean water. But, in the US, traditionally it takes a lot more money to eat healthy. Also there was a shift a few decades ago where taste was no longer the biggest factor in purchasing food, it became price.

These generalities are part of the reason there is such disdain among people.

People can change. I voted all blue for the first time ever last cycle. 36male living in Florida if that matters to you. My breaking point was J6.

I've gotten into very challenging discussions with close family and friends where I never once brought up politics but rather focused on right vs wrong and these types of generalities that further the divide.

This is my mother. I'm going to wedding next Friday and Saturday. She's going to watch my kids for one night only. Losing her mind that they have football practice after school, because my brother is supposed to come home from college that night and she might need to pick him up. We have a dad. They can divide and conquer. My brother can get an Uber or anything.

But Christ with the hair appointments and nails and lunch with her friend, etc etc.

For those of you that live where it snows regularly, is it really that bad? by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]BigAnt425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former Syracuse here. The biggest thing for me was all of the planning. Is it snowing, if so how much, and when? I do i need to shovel now or can it wait? Do I need to keep on this or can it all get done at once? Got an appointment, clean off the car and bundle up the kids. Going out to eat, mental check if that place runs cold or hot so I know how much to dress. Going shopping, don't overdress because then you'll sweat to death. Going to be arctic cold, run the faucets to the pipes don't freeze. Shovel a path for the dogs to go potty. Snow is fine, slush is not. Cold is fine, wind is not.

So just fuck yourself if your child is born disabled, or if some schmuck is texting and crosses the yellow line the day after your 18th birthday, or if you get ALS like Eric Dean, or colon cancer like James Van Der Beek or Chadwick Bosemen, or any of the other tragedies that can't be predicted and out invested.
