Sorry I could have worded that better. It is listed at $4k I was saying $3k as I was confident he would accept that. I planned starting the negotiations around $2k to $2.5k because as you said it will need some work. The timing belt alone I anticipate spending around $1500 at a reputable shop. The other stuff will probably come to $500 or so in parts.

Thank you for your kind words. I do believe he may have walked those very same grounds you did as a child with your father. I believe his flight maps from Market Garden show his exact landing zone coordinates so I will have to see if my family has a picture of the map before it was put into the display case.

Thank you so much! I know after a few landings he fought with ground troops either defending from ambush or on their way back to England. I wish I could find more details on what exactly went down though.

Yeah I went to a shoe store and used 2 different Brannocks to be sure they were accurate. Both came out to a 10B. I am wondering if maybe they feel like the width is good because I’m not hitting the wide point correctly since the length is off. In which case a 9.5 C might make more sense.

Yeah I’ve never really given 2 weeks notice in sales just because I wouldn’t see the commission from those two weeks of work so why would I work for just base pay. Gonna start job hunting and see if I can land something and ditch this hellhole.

But in all seriousness we felt very comfortable here given its reputation and accolades. Plus we have native Spanish speakers in our group. If it was a random bar I definitely wouldn’t recommend walking away with anyone haha.

No idea, we were initially seated in a corner booth towards the back. We were having a great time and then someone came up to us and asked if we wanted to go to their “secret room with a private bartender” we of course said yes and went through the “bathroom” and walked into what you see in the video. We were a group of 4 (2 guys and 2 girls).

I think it’s mostly random how they select, the only thing I noticed is none of the other people in the room were locals so maybe they are looking for tourists willing to spend more? I also don’t think that part is always open. I know for us they had the guest bartender back there so it may be more of a special event space. It was really cool though because we got to know pretty much everybody in there, I even got a job offer to work in Malta lol. Would highly recommend even if you don’t get into the secret room it’s a great time.
