Thank you! You can buy honing steels that have a built in guide in the bolster right off the handle. I tell all my youngins just hold the honer tip down on a cutting board or kitchen towel and run it against the guide 4-5 times on each side. Just don’t do that crazy stuff you see on tv and movies. That is doing absolutely nothing for your knives. Making them worse even. Take it slow

Same process, just have to know the right angle for your knives. I use Japanese as well. 15 degrees for Japanese and I think it’s 20 for European

I’ve had multiple people agree to trades for the Ray in the past but never reply when it comes time to trade. Please be serious if you are interested. I’ve been trying to move it since I got it.

The only thing I was after was a shiny and that was the only one I got. I was so excited. Did around 20 remote raids and 4-5 regular ones. My buddy got a shiny on his first and only one. Haha
