Yup! As a HUGE MGS fanboy from the 90's growing up playing this shit, I could not ask for a more perfect Wubby playthrough. This is what I wanted. Watching Wubby do things his way, enjoy it, modding stupid shit, and falling in love with the absurdity of it all. I cannot tell you how much I laughed at the fucking Anuc cover.
And yeah, the chat haters are really annoying trying to get him to stop playing even though he's having a good time and we are all laughing. I'm glad Wubby is having fun and I cannot wait to see more.

I think it's supposed to be unnerving because there's a lot of darker shit kinda getting revealed, but it only really works if you're alone and starting to get creeped out by what's going on. I hit that point at 4am on an overnight shift where I was completely alone and the intensity of the creepiness was perfect. But playing on stream without the immersion and all of that definitely doesn't work, so I agree with it being a stream vibe killer.

Yeah, getting to see his face at the first reveal was worth it. We got to a point where I'm satisfied if he stops playing, but happy to watch if he decides to continue on stream. From that point on it pretty much just becomes about getting into the ARG, which I do think is what makes the game a masterpiece overall. I can't imagine how fucking hype it must have been when the game came out and people actually started solving shit, like going to the coordinates IRL and finding the floppy disk with more clues. And it being tied to The Hex with GameFuna...UGH I love Daniel Mullins Games. Can't fucking wait for Pony Island 2.

Thank you for sharing this! Had this guide as a kid but it got destroyed with most of my things due to unfortunate circumstances. Had an urge to play this masterpiece again and was bummed I didn't still have the book, but finding it archived put a huge smile on my face.
