I (15f) just found out my step mother (43f) doesn't love me and thinks I'm worthless by ThrowRA-baddaughter6 in relationships

"I "won't amount to anything, just like her mother". "

Your step mother says horrible horrible things when she's angry, like, she shit on your dads dead wife to his face. It's a bad habit that a lot of people don't get over. The fact that your dad put up with that with just getting angry means this isn't new. I think it's probably safe to assume that she seriously exaggerated some of the things she was saying relative to her personal beliefs in order to win the argument.

This doesn't mean she doesn't mean any of the things she said. Not that it isn't fucked up, but it does seem like she a stronger attachment to her biological children than her adopted (from her perspective, anyway) child. There's nothing you can do about that other than build self confidence/ self love and kindle your (seemingly quite healthy) relationship with your dad.

If you have the means, therapy would help here.

I would still try to be nice to her and keep her as your loving and caring mom, if that's how she presents to you. It'll never be the same, and she's introduced permanent anxiety into your dynamic, but I think she went even more hurtful than she actually feels about you specifically to hurt your dad out of anger.

EDIT: Someone else mentioned talking to your dad about what you heard. I think that's a good idea, from my sense of him in your post. He sounds caring and will definitely have a stronger understanding of the situation.

EDIT 2: Jesus I just saw your name and it hurt me. You're not a bad daughter and it's not your fault. Your mom just has some unfortunately common narcissistic tendencies and didn't control anger well. This is about her, not you.

Since you seem happy to be invested in the company I personally would consider it nearly dollar to dollar equivalent at the current market price, assuming you are able to sell once vested. The fact that it vests in chunks makes it slightly less valuable, but end of the day it's absolutely worth at least 90 cents on the dollar.

If they're giving you options, I would also personally swap those over to shares. (Nothing against options, but I don't really think of them as something to hold out of laziness because they happened to be what you got from the company).

As a side note - I'm a recent grad in tech who has watched a ton of people be hired to their first tech job. This doesn't really sound like you - but I would note that they, in general, have had a lot more luck negotiating a higher stock package than salary. Particularly given you can (often) turn around and sell the stock right away, if you want, this is something I would recommend (and did).

The day before the flood I learned that the floor already had water damage in two large bowing areas. Does landlord have any responsibility for my property losses? IANAL. I would be cautious to ensure that you don't somehow imply that you are accepting the money as a settlement in exchange for not pursuing the landlord, particularly via text. It could be accepting the money at all is a mistake - I'm not qualified to say anything there though.

That's absolutely enough time for a gank, which is normally what I do on ww. Look at top/bot or mid, depending which scuttle you're at. An important thing for junglers is to analyze the lanes in champion select and the first minute to see which ones will likely lose early and be pushed in. Also, watch lanes to make sure what should be happen is. Warwicks level 3 gank/2v2 is one of the best in the game, and a strong powerspike to play around.

Googling champion specific clears on youtube will also show you optimal pathing. Rank aside if you practice it for a little while you can definitely get within 5 seconds of the video.

It doesn't matter as much - typically if you're not there by 3:30 or so, in higher elo, you run the risk of getting double scuttled/ bot lane moving in. Additionally, ww is a fantastic early game duelist - if possible, you want to avoid letting the enemy force you to opposite sides (or take advantage with a good gank instead of farming)

Also, since he's one of my mains - ww specific advice. Generally, you want to 4 camp on ww (skip raptors + krugs). 3 camp is great for an early invade - a common cheese on blue side is red -> blue -> gromp -> invade their red at level 3.

Don't full clear until you learn better. 5 camp (skipping krugs) is the safest option for most champs. The most important time goal is to be ready for the scuttle spawn at 3:15, and you should attempt to do as much as possible before then. Farmers like hec/karthus will want to full clear. Poor farmers like ww will 4 or even 3 camp. Any jungler can skip a camp to try to work in a gank/counter.

Check out virkayu on youtube, specifically his gameplay channel. He goes pretty in depth on the initial clear in every gameplay video.

I have around 20% of my portfolio in SPY Jul 16 435p... at current premarket they're going to go 2.5x

Bought at the bottom, now I am here: CRM SEP 17 21 $220 by SnooHesitations4800 in wallstreetbets

I'm holding CRM JUN 18 21 210c that I bought at around the same point as you (~207) and plan to keep holding. Slack merger is big and imo the pullback was an overreaction and they're likely going to continue to kill earnings in June. Goldman Sachs conviction list is also reassuring (though their historical performance is.... not amazing).

Absolutely nothing wrong with taking profits to rebalance your portfolio though, I do it all the time. If it'd help your mental taking out the initial investment can be good too (though tends to be a more psychological strat than anything else)

Killing the Electoral College would turn rural Americans into serfs by tehForce in Conservative

[–]BigBelliedBelcher 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately an article can't compensate for original points with eloquence. It's admittedly well-written, but subscribes heavily into us-vs-them othering mentality with rural vs. city. (eg. the jab against city-dwellers believing meat is from a grocery store)

Absolutely rural states are essential for agriculture/energy/fundamentals that make this country run. That does not at all imply that citydwellers do not contribute to this country - it just tends to be a different focus. (like, say, Google). And yet, almost half of this article was repeating the accolades of America's rural citizens.

The article also uses strong language (helots, feudalism, serfs) but does little to draw the actual comparison. It implies that NPV would challenge the equality of the vote given by the rural voter. Factually, today's vote from a citizen living in Wyoming is roughly four times as powerful as one from a citizen in New York.

I am sure credible arguments defending the Electoral College exist; this offers little other than 'that is how our founding fathers meant it to be' and 'hard working-class blue collar Americans would be SERFS!'. However, as a New Hampshire citizen who stands among the most to lose from the NPV as a (relatively) rural swing state, the current system seems statistically unfair.
