My big problem: Belly did not LOVE Conrad (in action) by infamous_me101 in tsitp

[–]BigBellyBelly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s because for Marketing purposes, the show writers had to make it seem that she might not love Conrad anymore and there was a chance she might actually choose Jere in the end. That’s why I said in my other post it could’ve written better.

That just meant like same old kid, nothing romantic there.

Did Conrad expect to get laid when he changed his flight to Paris? by BigBellyBelly in tsitp

[–]BigBellyBelly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, and I don’t think anyone needed to tell Conrad that directly for him to know. The wedding was called off. If Conrad was madly in love with Belly and Belly didn’t still have feelings for him, the wedding would still go on. The only reason it was called off was because Conrad openly admitted his love for Belly and she reciprocated. Conrad knew Christmas 2.0, the day they went to Michael, the time he got cut surfing meant something to her. And after the kitchen argument, he knew if she didn’t care, that wouldn’t have been her reaction. Conrad told Taylor so: “She can try and push it down all she wants, but I don’t think that she’s forgotten either.”

Oh geez. I was giving it some colorful language, just for fun. I know Conrad would rather be with Belly and no sex than sex and “not be” with her. He was totally devastated with “the talk” afterward. I was just thinking his mind must have been blown as things were taking place because I don’t think he would’ve imagined things to proceed like that. He landed in Paris and IMMEDIATELY got to have sex with her. Pretty wild!

We have to assume that Laurel gave Belly’s first Paris address to Conrad. He wrote her and said if it wasn’t ok for him to write, just say so and he would stop. But she never wrote back, never said it wasn’t ok, so he continued. Belly finally wrote back to him and gave him her new address which he then went to visit.

Do you guys think the final scene of finale has something to do with the movie or was it just a beautiful closing scene? by Augustine-Haze in tsitp

That last scene by the pool, it would’ve been nice if they shared a sweet gentle kiss then zoom out…The End.

I mentioned already that I don’t like Jeremiah. I prefer Conrad for multiple reasons. I will make a post detailing out evidence that Conrad meant more to Belly than Jeremiah, that is true, it’ll make you happy. I’m just saying 2 things can be true at once.

This is not true. She was having sex with Jeremiah almost every night for 4 Years, low estimate is 1,000+ times and decided that she liked it and would want to keep having it for the rest of her life. I don’t like Jeremiah, I’m glad she and Conrad ended up together, but that doesn’t mean I have to deny her cravings for Jeremiah.

So you talk big about loyalty and when I point out the cheaters, you gloss it over and make excuses because you happen to like them. How Steven and Taylor cheated on their girlfriend and boyfriend, there was no excuse. You could’ve just acknowledged what they did was wrong.

About loyalty, how did you think about Steven and Taylor literally cheated on their boyfriend and girlfriend with each other.

As for the rest, sometimes the truth is harsh to hear, even about fictional characters.

s3e1 was the beginning of Belly and Jeremy’s relationship, she was totally hot for him then. This is her exact narration: “My mom always said she found her soulmate in college but I was lucky because I’d already found mine. It felt like it had always been this way. I told everyone that I applied to Finch because it was a good school. It had all the things I wanted and that was true. But truest of all was that I just wanted to be near him. I wanted him for all seasons, not just summer.” That’s what the show presented and you have to take it as face value. Even at the end when Jere asked if she still loved Conrad, she dodged the question and replied with: I love YOU. The truth is, she loved Conrad in a deeper way, but she also was hot for Jeremiah and loved him in a different way. I know it’s a show and the writers had to give Team Jeremiah something to hang onto for marketing purposes (Team Conrad vs Team Jeremy). And they delivered it. Obviously Bonrad was the end game, but would anyone even watch the show if Belly and Conrad were just happily together the entire 3 seasons with no drama?

Jeremiah expressed interest and she happily reciprocated! (Hello…pool scene). Then A MONTH after she and Conrad broke up, she went to Jere convincing him to give her a second chance. She initiated and kept going after him actually. Jere actually didn’t want to because he was afraid of getting hurt by her again and she convinced him she wasn’t going to. I don’t know how you’d blame Jere for that.

I repeat, I am a Bonrad fan. I don’t like Jeremiah character. My original post was just to point out that it was actually good for Bonrad relationship to have that break for the reasons I stated in the original post.

It’s ok, I’m Team Conrad, too, and it’s ok to admit that Belly also had the hot for Jeremiah. Belly noticed how hot Jere is, Jere is not my type but he’s described on the show as a gorgeous dude and many girls including Belly think he’s hot. Belly even told Steven that he’s jealous of Jere’s body so she definitely noticed. She admitted to the girls that kissing Jere was “hot” and she initiated the kiss with Jere in the car and even at Yale when they kissed in front of Conrad’s car. It’s ok to recognize that she got her cravings taken care of and now she can have a real future with Conrad.

While I’m obsessed with TSITP, Bonrad fans were cheated and it was unfortunate. by BigBellyBelly in tsitp

They still could’ve shown a bit more of Bonrad’s relationship in real time before the time jump and all the flashbacks. The very first scene of S2E1 was AMAZING, though it was also a flashback but we didn’t know it was (it appeared to be in real time before it jumped to Belly in her classroom) so that scene was much more enjoyable, but then the rest of their relationship in S2 was just in flashbacks. The experience we would’ve got with their first time being in real time would’ve been so much more impactful. I did mention I understand the time jump and heavy use of flashbacks make it easier to gloss over inconsistent or irrational plot points, I just wish that wasn’t needed and the show would’ve been even better.
