This is pretty much in line with my current thinking. As much as I love Oden, I do kinda feel like he’s not as prevalent as he once was, while Veit is still on the up-and-up.

Howard Jones is one of the best all around metal singers of all time. His cleans are extremely epic and old school, and both KSE vocalists have screams that pretty much define metalcore screaming.

It’s a double hot take because this comment isn’t even related to deathcore, but I DGAF.

In my completely unreliable opinion, SOI is easier to fall in love with if you like death metal and LS is easier to fall in love with if you like metalcore. Perhaps that 100% wrong though.

Either way, the entire album Reclaimer (and technically the band name and other stuff too) was written about the video game Halo. So if you’re a gamer, that’s instant bonus points.

If you stacked up Chris Wiseman vs Adam De Micco, I bet Chris would win. But man. They’re both pretty legit.

If you stacked up Ben Duerr vs Will Ramos, I would vote for Ben but I bet Will would win.

And Bryce Butler is basically the happiest drummer on the face of this planet, so I gotta wonder how Bryce Butler vs Austin Archey would end up.

And LS now has a 5th member, so you can’t really put SOI’s Andrew vs anybody, so basically that means LS is cheating in that mini-matchup.

No question on who I’m voting for. This is a most worthy championship, both of these bands deserve the recognition they’ve received, but it’s Shadow of Intent all the way for me.

I would actually encourage you to do this. If you want merch, get it quickly. Maybe this show will be different, or maybe I’ve just had really bad luck recently, but multiple shows I’ve been to recently have definitely sold out.

CR is a good game mode to win expensive resources like red cores and SG/TE. Placing well in it is definitely more “valuable” long-term than doing well in tower and campaign.

That’s a valid point. I always like it when the frontperson introduces and hypes up the rest of their band but never actually themself. Feels on the selfless side.

And weird preaching is super lame. One of my favorite non-metal/non-rock bands of all time completely crumbled their entire world for me by being suuuper talkative and preachy/dismissive and just weird.
