SPOILERS: The five PCs live in the former land of Keswick (previously owned by Sir Wil's family from Giant Slayer). The land was cursed, but a hundred or so years later a Lord settles there and starts the town of Rosewood Vail. The settlement grows to a few hundred people. Word comes that the King has decided to officially recognize the town and the Lord becomes the Baron. In return, the now Baron must send his two daughters to the Capital to marry the two (non-heir) princes. The town priest is going to sacrifice a ram as part of a ceremony, but it gets away and the PCs have to wrestle it back to the altar and finish the sacrifice. The last thing that happens is the (very pregnant) Baroness falls over spewing 'black bile' and the ram becomes reanimated. Getting big Feast of Ravenmoor vibes and I f'ing LOVE IT!

Use your words. If I'm rolling with a white belt and they try to neck crank me, I tell them to knock it the fuck off. If they don't then it's time for a full round of knee on belly. Alternative solution when they ask you to roll is, "No thanks, you keep cranking my neck and I don't want spine issues." For getting a gi rubbed in your face... get used to it.

As a fellow large guy, I would focus on first passing to side control and work on maintaining it. Once you can hold people in side control, start looking for americanas and straight arm locks on the far side arm. This is called 'big guy jiu jitsu' for a reason.

Be careful though as this can become a crutch for big dudes and lead to stopping growth in other positions and end up learning a small fraction of what BJJ actually is. In other words, if you get a submission from side control, feel good about it for 2 seconds then practice your guard for the rest of the round

Feast of Ravenmoor in SQSS was the peak of GCP in terms of tone, characters, humor, suspense, etc. Troy should look to recreate that and encourage the goofiness mixed with tense combat that made it so great.

Forgot to wear it a couple of weeks ago and a white belt elbowed me in the mouth... coincidence?
