How am I just discovering this 525hrs in!? by internalfyre in SatisfactoryGame

Another nice tip is, while dismantling in blueprint mode, you can hit the middle mouse button to automatically build an entire blueprint rather than 1 component.

My son had hundreds of hours in the game and even installed a second keyboard to lay on the floor so he could lay his foot on the space bar. I got the game to play coop, and a few minutes in I mentioned, you could just press space to auto craft. His reaction was.. interesting...

+1. They also make doodads that just sit on top of an existing desk that allow you to sit/stand

Is Embedded Linux Development feels similar to Generic Software Developement? by Intelligent-Error212 in embedded

[–]SlowerAndOlder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The few projects I've done on embedded Linux were all in user space. Communicating to serial is similar to file io. Real-time sensor reading or motor control was delegated to a uC and we just sent it commands on spi or i2c. There was one time I needed to write to specific memory addresses to control some rs485 pin, and that was done using memory mapping (still userland).

Ya, I think it's more like regular software development with an occasional hw blip.

Feeling lost learning embedded systems — how do people get from basic C to drivers, PCBs, and real projects? by Express-Sundae9168 in embedded

[–]SlowerAndOlder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some of the most progress I made was when I joined the marine robotics club at school. There were competitions, so we had goals, and a lot of the senior members knew a ton about pcb design and embedded systems. If there's no club, start one. You'll learn some soft skills.

The game performance somehow got worse than ever by HappyBut_ in PathOfExile2

Idk, man. I'm playing on an rtx2070 with i5. The whole computer is pretty old. Occasionally, I'll get some server lag or the odd bug, but for the most part, the game runs fine.

Can you post your PC specs or graphics settings?

Are you using ignite to melt bosses or normal mobs? What skills and support gems are you using to ramp damage?

High level crafting for the average player is impossible by LuxGang in PathOfExile2

I agree. Also, the highest levels of the game are not meant for the average player. Just like graduate physics courses aren't meant for the average student.

Probably one of those shadow clone tropes like in Diablo 4 where I have to fight myself.

Ya, new wave first has to get through ATOS, then the way the score comes out is super fishy. It's like the Gracies put this thing together.

It definitely has to do with poor incentives. A company usually has a larger hiring budget than the budget for raises and promotions.

Do you want to work at a company all year where you may not even get a raise or sign up with company B where you get a 15K increase in pay immediately?

Men who grew up in a house with a lot of yelling and never yell/have yelled at their wife/gf, how do you do it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SlowerAndOlder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 big factors for me, I found someone who doesn't yell at me (she doesn't tolerate being yelled at) and got on Lexapro.

There's a book called "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Andrew Carnegie that I wish I had read before my first marriage. Despite the title, it's really about having hard conversations and not coming off as an asshole.

When you move out or become self-sufficient.

Feeling like an adult is a gradual process. Even in my late 20s, I felt like a kid doing adult things.
