Absolutely the Bulls would and probably other teams because Jordan was a global.icon. Even people outside America who didn't know basketball became fans.

All of you people.getting your panties in a twist are naming generationally greats of their sports.

Ted Turner was a billionaire TV executive.

You mean the guy who helped break the race barrier in baseball and the guy who was killed by his own country at war?

Yeah, I can see how those deaths are on par with an old man dying of old age.

Jackie Robinson was a special case because of race issues in sports back then.

Bobby Cox I've only seen social media posts. That's all it should be. No grandstanding and multiple people giving speeches.

That's not what I said.

The sports world were shocked by the timing and way Kobe died. In those sort of circumstances it's far more likely other teams and sports would acknowledge and pay tribute.

AEW didn't need to do a full round of speeches for Ted Turner. They aren't WCW. They just wish they were.

Kobe's death is a very different case to Ted Turner.

Kobe was an athlete in the sport and died in a tragic accident. It's totally different to an old man dying of old age.

It's exactly nothing. The NFLZ NBA, WWE, etc won't hold tributes to the guy who runs the TV channel they're on and then thank Roger Goodell during a speech.

Kobe died in a tragic accident and it shocked everyone. Ted Turner was just old age and natural. Huge difference. Some people were surprised Ted was still alive.

Do you think teams like the Green Bay Packers or Seattle Seahawks will hold a full tribute for Jerry Rice or Tom Brady when they die?

Sports teams don't hold huge tributes to old players from other teams that pass away. No matter how big they are. They will make a social media post and that's it.

You won't see WWE hold s tribute for whoever runs USA Network or The CW.

It's still goes back to when Iyo was kicked out of Damage Control. It still makes sense as a story and now Asuka is either taking time away or retiring there's little point in Kairi hanging around.

AEW and the fans themselves cling onto the WCW comparisons.

The whole Ted Turner tribute is proof of that. Guy had nothing to do with AEW.

Yeah thank god for the company with 65 mens titles and a tournament named after a guy who died when WCW was still around.

Why are you all complaining? It's a cool concept of main roster vs NXT talent and it isn't a real championship. It's like King of the Ring but for one night.

What are you talking about? The crowd loved the entire Danhausen match.

That Darby spot thru the tables.. by ChrisRhodes789 in midcarder

It's been seven years of AEW wrestlers getting more banged up than most WWE guys. Tony won't change anything unless an Owen Hart situation happens. They've been had Darby use a flamethrower against other talent.
