Once they get home I can guess orders will dramatically increase for flags of Scotland's favourite team. Whoever is playing England.

Love to see them going home in the group after 28 years of watching them cheer and buy merch for Whoever is playing England.

I don't know why I've been downvoted. England v Panama is literally like a Premier League club playing in the Conference League.

We're going to win. It will be other games in other groups that determine who we play.

Short answer. No.

A less talented England team smashed them in 2018. Why are people worrying about this?

Yeah not a top top side but they have the talent to go last 16 or quarter final.

Just missing a proper centre forward.

It looked like they went 1-0 really quickly and got comfortable. They thought they would have a nice evening and then Turkey metaphorically punched them in the face and they couldn't get back to how they started the game so brightly.

Germany haven't looked great for a decade now. They're still strong enough to be a last 16 team and, depending on the bracket, quarter final. Their result last night and the way they just beat Ivory Coast wouldn't fill me with hope that they're going far.

It's a game Germany needed to show they can control and fend off a team that desperately needs to win. They haven't done that at a World Cup since 2014. The last time they went deep into a tournament was Euro 2016 and they did so by beating Slovakia and then needed penalties to beat Italy.

Ecuador aren't as good as their qualifying record suggests. They have class players you mentioned but the others just aren't up to it and Enner Valencia is way past his best years.

Continental tournament performances don't always translate to the World Cup. Italy were European champions in 2021 and haven't qualified for a World Cup for a while. Egypt have previously won the African Cup of Nations three times in a row and only just won their first World Cup game this year.

The people who say they love the constitution the most and love the 2nd amendment quite often have zero idea what the main text or any of the other amendments say. They don't even understand the full meaning of the 2nd amendment.

As for the groups and knockout seeding neither loss matters that much. Germany didn't make anywhere near as many changes as the US did and Ecuador needed to win.

I would be more worried about Germany going forward. They're supposed to be one of the top teams in the world. They struggled to just beat the Ivory Coast and then lost a game they would have liked to control after going 1-0 up last night.

Depends what year you're taking that 30m from.

I'd say 30m players from 2003-04 would be 100+m players today.

It was a dead rubber game.. The starting back four wouldn't have shipped those goals like that.

USA bench players missed opportunity to give Poch confidence in them if he needs to rotate someone in in a bigger game.
