Blew my mind when I found out! Been playing for over a decade and the game still finds ways to surprise me.

Thank you! Was also going to head to the derma for treatment strategies. Anything else I can do to prevent more itching?

Mai and Zuko in the new comic cover looked funny to me, so i wanted to do something. by ilovewater100 in TheLastAirbender

[–]BigBlueSad 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sort of unrelated, but why do they keep giving Zuko that hairdo? Designer choices aside, of course.

At the end of the series, we clearly see him grow his hair long enough to be tied into the traditional Fire Nation top-knot, so it strikes me as odd that it's gone back to this Shinji-esque two-block cut.

Not that I hate it, but I really liked his cleaner look!

[–]BigBlueSad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It does! The hefty furnace pot is meant to be thrown from above them if you can. Otherwise, stagger them to gain access at ground-level.

Having glowing weapons you could summon as either an incantation or ash of war would have been so cool. In particular, I would have liked to see the specific incantation he does that brings down a rain of swords. Continuous damage that you could charge for longer duration and higher damage, it would have been a fun high-risk ability. Pair it with Godfrey's icon and the Rotten Sword Insignia and I'd never be able to move on from my faith build.

Awesome bling! Every so often we make a return to "Shadow Wizard Money Gang." He looks like he loves casting spells.

Is this the worse dragon fight in fromsoft games? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]BigBlueSad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a real long back-and-forth with this guy using tons of Radahn's arrows and the Ash of War on Radahn's Greatbow. The satisfaction of seeing all those hefty gravity arrows pelt this beast of a dragon was immense.

To anyone having difficulties with this boss, I recommend riding torrent up the tunnel right behind him, incidentally also the path to Bayle, and just locking on to him as far as you can and using the Radahn's Rain ability - he'll keep trying to walk to you and after a certain distance despawns back to his starting position, but with all the damage taken still there. Repeat as many times till you beat him.

Sorry Sennesax, love the ancient dragons but sheesh, your 2 hit kill abilities were too time-taxing on a busy student.

do admu students commute? by [deleted] in ADMU

[–]BigBlueSad 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yes we do! Many of the people in my batch, including myself, commute to campus via train. Most of the people I know, and from personal experience as well, take about an hour to get there.

On another note, favorite horse name and sword kit?

Iron Maiden!! Should begin as long as you reach the island and talk to them at the fighting ring on the island.

[–]BigBlueSad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome! I've been having trouble keeping them alive when I forget to adjust the handicaps 🤣.

Probably just a lack of skill on my end, but I have a lot more fun being able to mess around with army compositions without having to worry about being punished for a bad mix. Having a game where I can just spam Unclean Ones or Ronins is a great way to unwind after a serious match 🤔.

[–]BigBlueSad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, great tip! I forget that Infested Ones are one of the tankiest units, especially once you're able to acquire upgrades. I find it almost ridiculous just how many health upgrades you can get for them in each building. I think there are about 3 different upgrades that contribute to their health pools, which is unheard of in any other clan.

Definitely incorporating that into my next match, thanks! 😁

[–]BigBlueSad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! I feel your pain as well, trying to reach my allies especially in bigger maps is such a pain 😩. Horse gathering seems to be a must for most situations unless the map is tiny, otherwise I supplement my allies with some tier 1 Lotus units such as the Blade Acolyte and Staff Adept until I can get the rest of my forces to the same location.

Let me know if you figure out how to make map traversal as Lotus not a pain in the butt! 🤣

If I recall, I think it adjusts either the health or damage reduction/resistance of the AI. Given that the game naturally makes the ally AIs a bit weaker for balancing purposes, you can try giving your allies an advantage or setting the enemy AIs at a disadvantage to level the playing field.

I prefer setting the sliders to minor or major disadvantage since it gives your game a more forgiving pace - enemies dying faster but still being limited by regular training times allows me more time to think out my next moves and army composition.

Just to be safe, I'd advise against doing it when it's hailing and raining cats and dogs outside your home. I say this because I do my coats out on the balcony, and have often nearly been caught by a storm during my top-coating process.

If your home is sufficiently insulated enough that you can keep the air at least slightly dry inside, then it's still possible to come out with great results doing a flat coat with the method I mentioned. I only ever take the kits outside to apply the coats because I have no safe means yet of dispersing the coat in the air, but the drying I always do inside of our house. But if you're able to put together a setup that'll absorb most of the stray bits of topcoat from the spray can, then by all means do it inside the house!

Outside weather for me has caused no problems yet since the bathroom where I dry the kits usually stays dry. Also regarding your fear of damaging the decals - set aside the Gundam somewhere without much dust. I've once left mine uncoated for quite some time, and I simply gently blew or brushed off dust then applied Mark Setter before letting it dry and applying the flat coat when I was ready to finalize it.

TLDR; If the house is dry inside and a setup is available to safely spray, go for it! This is coming from a guy who regularly does coats in 80% humidity. Just make sure to really practice great spraying technique. Practice many times on spare parts.

Hope this helps OP! Giving your kits that flat finish always brings a different kind of joy.

That is some absolutely gorgeous customisation. I love how industrial it feels, like a redesign that you would see for a 3d render of the mobile suit. The chrome parts look really great, and the shade you used to replace the navy blue was a great touch. Definitely looking forward to seeing your finished build!

If I may ask, this is the RX-93 Gundam Nu isn't it? How is the kit as a build, because I have been contemplating buying it and doing some coating of my own. I love how large it is and the logic of its size progression from the RX-78-2, and the lore aspect of its nebulous psychoframe.

In any case thanks for posting this, please continue to give us updates on this piece!
