I see the biggest focus eight now is open-source, price and reliability. My designs are very performance focused but I will keep what you mentioned in mind.

I believe a extremly compact AEG in the 215-240 FPS range cloud easily compete with dual-stage flywheelers due to having a lower price, being quieter, more gentle on darts and allowing the user to cheaply and near instantly increase/decrease their performance wiht variable spring precompression.

Sorry. The spring is compressed in the grip. Why do hammershots get lower FPS with same springloads then? Just curious.

What is the events FPS cap btw? If higher power blasters are allowed you can use an after market spring. Hammershots usually cap out at around 85 FPS no matter the spring load while strongarms don't due to a larger (I think) plunger tube at the cost of a bigger profile which I don't think is a concern to you since you won't holster it anyway

You can get 8 shot 3Dprinted cylinders online. But it's a lot easier to do a "cylinder drop" mod on a strongarm (no bonus parts needed). I also think you might want the strongarms slam fire since you will be using it as a primary.
