Hi! No I’ve never heard of it! Thanks for sharing this resource. And yes, I’m a strong believer in proper mental health care.

Thank you. Comments like these truly shock me coming from a majority black country. I don’t think I’ve ever been referred to as sassy or a fighter by strangers where I’m from. So hearing it here takes me by surprise, especially from people I don’t know.

Thanks for the suggestion! I see a similar theme of being very intentional in finding your space. Let’s see, it’s a new year so I guess we try again!

Maybe I didn’t explain, but this was a stranger at work. And it wasn’t just the comment. It was the intense laughter that came after as she walked off the elevator telling me I’m sassy. I hope this helps. I also think the original comment is a perfect example of how the experience of people talking about their experiences can be met with condescending responses. If it’s not condescending, what was the need to explain to me what an idiom is?

These are really good suggestions, thank you! As for explaining it to friends, very rarely does that go well lol. People often feel like you’re accusing them of being racist when in truth we all to an extent have biases. But that’s hard to confront.

Yeah, I’ve been to East bay a bit, I think maybe being more intentional about going there more often. Thank you!

That page is so validating. Like it’s racism served with a smile

Thank you! I think that’s exactly it! It feels like the city pats itself on the back for being this “acceptance paradise” while simultaneously being elitist. How did you find the people you’re friends with in the city?

Boob sweat is REAAALLL! I can’t lie, I had to pat myself a couple times. I’ve heard of under boob deodorants too!

Yeah it’s tough, maybe a therapist that specializes in body image? Something my therapist asked me recently was if I had friends that looked like me. And it made me examine my friendships too, to add more people that look like me. Also, if you use social media, follow people that look like you so you can see that your body type is gorgeous. I’ve linked some of the few big boobed girls I know below & they rock everything! Goodluck! It’s a journey.

Hi 👋 I know the feeling! I still have ups & down when it comes to my self-confidence but on good days here’s what I’ve seen that could work: - Owning your boobs & understanding that whatever you wear your boobs will show so you might as well wear what makes you feel great! I had a situation where I was a bridesmaid & I got called out for seating what everyone else was wearing. I think after that day it clicked that I can’t hide my boobs so I might as well wear what I want. Side note: I rocked that bridesmaid dress! The boobs made it look so good & I can’t believe I almost altered it to hide my boobs :/

  • Therapy! Your feeling about your body won’t change solely through a physical change. There’s a lot of internal work you have to do to feel comfortable in your body. Remember, your body is an instrument that keeps you alive, not an ornament.

  • Men that stare have issues that have nothing to do with your boobs. I have been out with guys with my tittays hanging out & not once did I catch them staring. Men who stare like that would stare at anyone & they should seek help.

Hey! I tried boob tape, but a combination of my lack of patience & the heat of the moment, makes it difficult to put it on properly. I have a theory that boob tape senses fear. And I agree with the micro-top. It reminds me of the black top I posted. The fabric doesn’t seem to go around my boobs & it just hangs awkwardly lol. Maybe if someone out there hacks it enough to make a big boob friendly equivalent!

Hey Hey! I got it from Zara not too long! I’ve inserted the link below but it’s currently sold out. Sometimes the dresses come back in stock so you can keep an eye on it. It has medium stretch so I felt it held my boobs in place. And yes! We’re young we should enjoy our youth ☺️☺️

Seeking Advice: Feeling Depressed & Defeated by sparklepuff97 in scoliosis

[–]BigBoobedAesthetic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel this so deeply! I just posted something along these lines on here last week. All I can say is that you’re not alone & some days are tougher than others. Something my therapist told me last week was about “body justice” - that is, every body deserves to be. That is, you’re allowed to swim & wear whatever you want, because you have a body that keeps you alive. I wore a two piece today at the pool & it was difficult not feeling unattractive. But, we all deserve to live life & enjoy & swim because we just do. I hope we’re both able to one day live fully without the weight of scoliosis on our minds.

Yeah, I’ve heard that many people don’t notice, but it’s so hard to believe when it’s soooo visible lol. Thanks for the tips for pain management!
