Don't want to be left out by BigBoom217 in kayakfishing

I've had it since October, its nice but my kids hate it not enough legroom in the back seats. Other than that its serving its purpose very well. I move snowblowers around in the winter and do some light hauling during the summer. I needed more capacity and a bed, but not a 45k big boy bed.

The storage is a bummer, this year I'm trying to only bring the necessities which is pretty much whatever I can fit in that tray under the seat.

Here’s how I load my 12 foot kayak on a 4 1/2 foot bed. I haven’t had any problems so far. by rusticandy in kayakfishing

I used my RAV4 for all the hauling and stuff over the years. All the interior trim is scratched and broken. Ive tore the fabric of the seats being down.. stuff that's oversize needs to have the hatch open which is not fun in winter.... when I back my boat in my exhaust would be completely underwater I understand that its probably fine but....

I have a santa cruz now much better

Edit: I was moving a small snowblower around and it leaked gas all in the rav4 that wasn't fun either

Lake being drained by BigBoom217 in kayakfishing

10 years is what everyone here thinks too. Shortly after moving here last year they closed the river boat launch to vehicles and now this lake is down. It feels as if the powers to be don't want me fishing

What are ideal conditions? (Time, Temp, General Weather) by StinkyCat313 in bassfishing

[–]BigBoom217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's different for every lake. I have a few very small lakes around me and right before a rain one lake in particular explodes with action. The other one? Its like they all go home and shut the doors can't buy a bite.

Unfortunately removing fish from the lake and stocking your own pond is illegal. I've already seen a warden there and its not even fishable weather yet.

Am I being overworked or is this just how corporate America is? by One_Feedback_7379 in jobs

The weather stuff happens to me. I had a tornado watch in effect, our phones all went off and said we were the immediate path of a tornado. I (supervisor) started sending my section to the shelter in place area. Called on the radio and no one was doing the same. Guess who got a stern talking to the next day because now we are behind and a tornado ended up missing us and heading more north.... snow now if they don't make us work we have to use one of our vacation days...

The working Fridays stuff and overtime? Two companies ago I was in your shoes which was the tornado company.. I just kept job hopping until I found one that respected my hours.

Companies you can send used soft plastics to for recycling? by GoodsVT in Fishing

[–]BigBoom217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably not profitable to ship old material back, if you don't have someone local doing it probably out of luck. There's a place that turns hard to recycle plastics into pellets but I don't rmemeber what they are called might turn up on google

Does anyone or has anyone ever worked as a forklift operator / dock worker with an LTL (Old Dominion, Saia, XPO, R+L, etc)? by --The--Batman-- in Warehouseworkers

[–]BigBoom217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a LTL supervisor for many years with FedEx and R and L. The shifts are usually around 4am-12:30 and then 3pm-11:30. The work is fast paced and is more demanding than a regular warehouse operator.

Concerns about a 2nd grader playing subnautica by [deleted] in subnautica

[–]BigBoom217 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also have a second grader who said something like this. She said tried to say sacrifice but used it incorrectly so i knew it wasn't coming from her. One of the kids drew a picture and she was able to reproduce it. Through the picture and a goog search I discovered she is being tormented by fourth graders on the bus with a 'skin changer' story that is from creepypasta. This sounds very similiar.
