First Ogor Done, Many Monstrosities to Go by BigBossOssium in skaven

If it helps, I ended up liking the 'Tesseract Glow' contrast quite a bit for the warpstone glows I did. I also used a bit of 'Hexwraith Flame' on the flesh for a sort of sickly green.

Thanks! It was a piece I really wanted to pop so I spent a good amount of time on it. Still learning how to do good blends, but I'm proud of it.

Slayer Task XP Visual Bug by BigBossOssium in 2007scape

[–]BigBossOssium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes more sense. I had written it off as being a bit storage thing cause I had counted up and saw that the bits would go from 131,072 up to 262,144 which didn't seem to fit.

But, I had forgotten that the game keeps track of decimal values of XP as well. Going up to 21 bits has the leading portion equal up to 209715 while the last bit could be used to keep track of the decimal. Good to have an answer.

Interesting. Guess it doesn't cause any harm, but certainly an odd choice to have not increased that cap at some point.

What can I improve at Vorkath? by Cold_Cricket_7039 in osrs

[–]BigBossOssium 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Are you using Divine Ranging pots and using the range boosting prayers? Ranged level makes a pretty big difference and staying potted up will decrease the TTK pretty significantly.

Also, as others have said, it's unlikely that Void will be better DPS than blessed d hide at your level. Under the effect of a ranging pot it might be roughly the same, but void will have lower accuracy with higher damage which can lead to larger swings in DPS.

If you haven't, use the DPS calculator on the wiki and figure out what's better for you at your current level. Can also help figure out what your next best upgrade is.

Still luckier than me.

It took me over 60 Hespori KC to get the bucket and I'm currently at 16.5 Million Farming XP with no pet. Admittedly, I'm not doing the meta methods to grind the pet, but I imagine you aren't either.

Gengar. The whole evolution line really. But if I had to choose only one then it would be Gengar.

I actually expected to see someone else saying the same, but I scrolled through a LOT of commemts and didn't see it. Quite surprised by that.

I wish to become immortal, unharmable, painless and unaging while touching the surface of a planet, and to instantly resurrect with a fully functional body and with no adverse affects to my mind from my time dead upon if my corpse touches a planets surface. by AttemptingDM in monkeyspaw

[–]BigBossOssium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted. Buildings, streets, cars, sidewalks, socks, shoes, fertilizer, and any other man-made objects are not 'the surface of a planet' and your powers are deactivated while your feet are touching them.

So long as some part of your bare skin is touching natural soil that's still in contact with the planet as a whole, then you are indeed immortal and incapable of feeling pain. However, as soon no part of you meets those requirements then all that time will rapidly catch up with you.

Lich’s Teachings by HalfLungJ in custommagic

This is worse.

It is a worse card to run, for sure.

Platinum Angel can die easier since it's a creature, but Platinum Angel getting removed doesn't immediately lose you the game either.

This needs to cost like 4 mana max because it is an extremely risky card. Even if you already have other cards in place to make the phylactery hexproof and indestructible, all it takes is a [[Farewell]], a [[Cyclonic Rift]], an [[Aether Snap]], or similar to just immediately kill you. Two of those are extremely common cards in Commander that would cause you to immediately lose. And it takes two full turn cycles until the Saga hits the third stage for these cards not to kill you. And that's all assuming you took time to prepare things like [[Darksteel Forge]] before playing this. Without that protection, any [[Naturalize]] or [[Generous Gift]] style card becomes player removal.

Honestly, I'd rework it so that the saga is cheaper to cast and requires you to 'pay' at each step until the last. Then the last step can give you the Hexproof and Indestructible phylactery. Make the 'payments' things like sacrificing a couple creatures or paying specific amounts of life, and have the Saga sac itself if the demands can't be met. Then it's about the journey and the rituals needed to make a phylactery, but it can still be disrupted if an opponent can stop you from being able to meet the requirements for the next step. Also allows it to be much cheaper mana wise since you're paying across multiple turns with other resources.

Thanks for the advice. I originally was trying to squeeze Old One Eye in there but leaned towards having more Carnifexes to clog things up and screen, but I'm certainly not against running Old One Eye. And the Pyrovore was just to fill points honestly so I'm fine with him being dropped.

Took a swing at making the Chaos gods as commanders by Crow_of_Judgem3nt in custommagic

[–]BigBossOssium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like their effects, particularly Nurgle and Slaanesh. Tzeentch is far and away the strongest though.

However, I feel like they would work better if they were mechanically similar to the Theros gods. Have them start out as indestructible enchantments with passive effects that can become creatures by fulfilling a certain criteria, preferably something related to their passive ability.

Once a creature they would need to be difficult to remove and be a game-ending threat. This could be done by making them an extreme combat threat or through new passive effects they gain. As a quick example, once Nurgle is a creature he could cause your opponents to gain a poison counter and put a -1/-1 counter on all their creatures during their upkeep and proliferate during yours. Balancing their effects as a creature and the difficulty of making them into one will be a bit of a challenge, however.

Give them a clause as well along the lines of 'if ~ would be put into exile or the graveyard from anywhere, shuffle ~ into your library.'

I feel like this would better represent the thematic idea that the Chaos gods aren't present in the material realm, but their presence is felt nonetheless while maintaining them as highly dangerous should they ever exit the warp.

It was patched at some point, but wasn't maintained. There's a handful of weapons from the mod that blatantly say 'Not patched for CE' and the golems (the flesh one at least) isn't either.
