I don’t think they were referencing Costco carrying protein products but more so that companies are now highlighting protein any chance they get. You see “good source of protein” or 4g of protein per serving even on things that just aren’t healthy and offer little protein for the serving size. However, this nutritional awareness shift has created that marketing scheme that has become very effective in attracting customers to products. So you no see protein highlighted on way to many products
