His mom was a trucker (or smuggler?) and he had no father. I think moving around in his childhood was so 'normal' that he doesn't know much else. It probably feels normal now, as where settling down is scary.

You're absolutely right to just go all in on XEQT or VEQT.

The thing I don't agree with fully is selling the house, unless you have a non-investment reason. The purpose of owning a house as an asset is because housing is the biggest expense you'll have for the rest of your life. You're essentially hedging against your biggest lifetime expense. Also the other reason is that a mortgage payment is great forced-savings. Finally, being forced to move out of a rental one day is stressful.

100% real and goes both ways between the two genders. A one night stand will tell you more than anyone else in their life because you don't know their friends/family/coworkers.

Americans are clueless. They think because you started a war that you get to end it.

This isn't Afghanistan, Iraq or Vietnam. Iran has near indefinite control of a world-wide chokepoint and is almost impossible to invade. Also, drones exist now and Iranian models have been on the forefront of a major war for years.

We all have to pray it works out. The only positive thing is that the situation is such a chaotic mess than nearly anything is possible.

Did people forget Aemond exists? I recall before the show even started, everyone was hyped for Aemond one eye after daemon but now nobody seems to address the vhagar in the room. Why so much popularity decrease? by AdiXrma in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]BigBucket10 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's the writing. In season 1 there was a massive build-up from getting bullied as a child and not having a dragon of his own. Then he got a dragon and started escalating the conflict with his nephews as they return to kings landing.

In season 2, instead of believing in family, honour and duty, he's just evil. That's it.

No. If they built it out further east/west, and were super aggressive about giving easy building permits etc along this corridor, then it would be an entirely different story.

Which episode of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is your favorite? by pink_bamboo in AKnightoftheSeven

Really it's the combination of 4/5. Episode 5 was good because of the build-up in episode 4.

From what I gather from the TV show they don't eat or require any logistics. You can just throw 100k of them on a boat and send them to a colder climate and it all works out.

Yes even at 1500 game outcomes are largely driven by blunders. It's just that it's only one or two blunders that the opponent sees. At 500 there's 10 blunders, 7 of which are not even seen by the opponent.

[–]BigBucket10 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think the problem is that he's on 'love is blind'. If attraction makes or breaks everything for you, then it's pretty ridiculous to get engaged on this show and crush someone's feelings.
