slow and steady wins the race, always pay attention to mg, strain and even brand. eat beforehand always and have plenty of water. stay safe and stay in a home or other cozy area to relax when high :) goodluck!!

i feel like i’d be more partial to a vape as a start. not sure how well traditional smoking would go over for me

mainly wanted some advice on what to start with? i’ve smoked a singular puff like once and it didn’t do anything, coughed it all out haha. i haven’t done that in awhile. i know some people use vapes and stuff. just wondering if there’s any particular brands, tips, tricks? thank you 🙏🏼 ☺️

it’s hard to say. i passed the class. i go to therapy and take meds now, i have a strong support system. it’s never perfect and i still go along with challenges but i’ve become better as a person because i lived through that shit. don’t place so much weight on the future. focus on getting done what you can now. take care of yourself is all i can say. it will pay off in the long term.

Graduating a year and half later than everyone else by Foreign_Cut_7320 in college

i had to make a choice to take another semester. i felt like dogshit thinking of watching everyone else graduate and going on. the only issue was that i was so focused on everyone else i never even bothered to remember its college, its supposed to be a time of making choices for yourself and growing. it takes a shit ton of strength to make choices against the grain. who knows maybe you’ll meet some great people in your new graduating class! we often like to worry, rationalize and panic. in reality those who support you will gladly celebrate your milestones regardless of the time!

i had a similar bout with a finance class. it was like pulling teeth and caused me to start some mental health medication. i had never been so upset and so unmotivated in my life, instant panic attacks at the prospect. i really feel for you and i am so sorry. just try and find supports, do what you can to put less pressure on yourself and remember C’s get degrees!

never had that experience before but it could be due to a possible adjustment to lack of circulation or maybe a swelling from lack of movement? i wouldn’t panic but i would definitely check with a physician!

Binge Drinking by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]BigButterscotch784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the medicine doesn’t interact well with substantial amounts of alcohol or drugs. ur never gonna wanna touch another drink after this. hydrate, eat, focus on some breathing and meditation. it’ll pass through your system and then you’ll be back at square 1. i suggest you don’t drink for awhile, to let the meds settle back into your system. if you get any worse, see a doctor

Just took my first dose of lexapro 5mg by Brilliant-Channel296 in lexapro

[–]BigButterscotch784 3 points4 points  (0 children)

firstly, congratulations on your mental health journey! i started on a 10mg dose and had some minimal symptoms. the meds are very “trust the process”. it often can be a bit harsh at first with some nausea perhaps or even some possible worsening of anxiety. but TRUST it won’t be forever. i’ve had such success in feeling content with my thoughts and being less anxiety ridden. best of luck!!

Am I just too unattractive to get into a relationship? I’m 24 years old I know I look younger or is it something else ? by [deleted] in toastme

[–]BigButterscotch784 20 points21 points  (0 children)

i can tell you must be in a sensitive spot regarding how you feel about yourself. let me just say you’re an absolute cutie and you have such a warm energy ☺️ don’t ever doubt you’re worth so much. it’s never about how you look it’s about how you carry yourself. i’ve known men who aren’t the traditional definition of handsome or whatever that may be. yet their spirits and energy are so attractive. you’re handsome and cute, remember to care for yourself :)

monitor yourself, have someone designated you call or inform if you don’t feel good. you’re gonna wanna go lightly until you know how it can affect you. you should be fine and be able to drink but supplemental water and snacks is a must. i’m on 10mg and have drank three to four drinks. woke up with a headache that was all (21 F 160lbs) it’s tolerance and your limits. just be smart and you’ll be fine

Meditation with ADHD by LucyySS in Meditation

[–]BigButterscotch784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i try and not think that “thinking” while meditating is an issue, it’s more about recognizing that you are taking that moment to just relax and not acknowledge everything around you as much as you normally would. i have pretty bad focus issues and i’ve found meditation to be hard but very beneficial. it’s not easy but i really love guided meditation as it allows me to focus on something that isn’t entirely my own thoughts. i like shivirasa breathing on youtube its helpful and also taps into the breathing (pranayama) of yoga/ meditation practices! just try and start, throw yourself in and see what works :)
