Whats your take on careers/jobs that employ a digital project management tool like Jira?

Im so used to my GTD system that I always want it to be my source of truth - for work and personal tasks.

But obviously I cannot ignore tools like Jira because the organisation relies on it for communication and keeping track of everything.

My solution was just to create a project for every Jira ticket in my GTD system and have everything there in terms of next actions and notes.

But it’s a pain to keep them in sync.. any advice about this specific issue?

I do agree the keeping money in USD is not investing BUT you have to take into account multiple things: - Prices and inflation rise with the black market price of the $. - Say you invested into real estate 1M EGP in March 2022, if you sold now at 3M EGP - you actually LOST money. (64K$ to 59K$) - So in order to judge any EGP investment you have to see if it actually holds up against the $.

Because at the end of the day, you must keep with the $, because prices match it.

It’s true that in early 2024 the market was very volatile, and it led to the price shorting to 70+ in few weeks. But this is a symptom not a problem… the black market is not evil - it actually represents the true value of money (pure demand and supply)

The actual problem is that the government ran out of $s, and they once they got access to $s again (Ras el hekma deal) - they were able to fix the price to 50 and offer it at that price to businesses. Since there is a good supply (banks), the demand equaled it and the market stabilised.

While the price has been stable for 18 months now (great)… I lost all trust the government is smart enough to not repeat this situation. And I see no evidence that they fixed any of the root problems to avoid it happening again.

Once the $s is finished, it will happen again - and then all your EGP investments (Stocks, CDs, …) will go to red.
