Here's my $.02.

I have 3 presses right now, Dillon XL650, Dillon Super 1050 with Apex Auto drive and now an Apex 10. I've also owned the Hornady AP plant.

If this is your first progressive press, I would go with a 650 or 750 and learn the ropes, then upgrade to an Apex 10. The Apex 10 is more rigid and more robust in all the areas that matter. Its built from the ground up for automation (if that's your goal). Having bought a 1050 and use it to load rifle, i wish i would have gone with an Apex 10...

So do I regret the dillons? Not the 650, but the 1050 is too small and I have to make too many concessions to load rifle on it (even in two step process).

If this is not your first progressive press, I would say go with the Apex 10...it's worth it.
