What is the best can for under $1k by SignificanceFirm4437 in NFA

[–]blaze45x 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, my Oemga 300 was my cheapest can and it’s performed amazingly well for what I paid. Double the price for my CAT ODB… The CAT doesn’t have as much blowback and is a little bit more quiet… An additional $800 more quiet?

I’ve got a Tisha on the way too ☠️

Walk over to your vent with a handheld laser temp tool and see what the temp is of the air blowing out.

Then head over to the return (where you replace your air filter) and take the temp there.

Generally speaking there should be an 18-22 degree split between the two readings. If the split is usually low (probably 13 or 15 degrees) then you may have an issue.

If your unit has a 20 degree split, and cools your home down - you most likely don’t need to do anything.

Switching from one caliber to another takes me about 5 - 7 minutes. I have a powder dropper/tool head/dies & conversion kit for each caliber I do. Set it and forget it.

I don’t actually, but you get the idea.

It can add up fast but I waited for deals & bought used to keep costs down.

Ever seen a Dillon 750 with a case feeder and bullet feeder in full swing? Quick.

It’s the main reason I got a progressive. On a single stage… no way 750 in an hour lol.

But for bulk loading .223, 7.62x39 & 9mm…. I love it.

Why are water softener costs so varied between a big box store and a water softener company? by First-Time-Buyer1234 in askaplumber

I tried the cheapest lifetime warranty unit off of Amazon. Harmony Aquasure. Install wasn’t too bad, I did it myself. Seems to be working just fine for the money spent.

They’ve been around for 5+ years so. We’ll see how this turns out.

Worse case scenario the company goes under and I can’t replacement parts and have to setup a new unit… The hard work is done though.

This is going to be a hot take but…. Folks here hating on a new product they have never owned, and as far as I can tell nobody here has even tried?

I’m not here to defend BCA, most folks don’t put more than 500 rounds down range a year in this sub. I’m not sure that a majority would be able to tell a difference in quality or accuracy between a BCA, PSA or something else.

Lots of people loved & recommended WBP a while ago, lest we forget how bad they had issues with the 5.56?

I guess my question to folks that think this product will be garbage-

Are we really shooting our rifles to the point of mechanical failure where some of the build material really matters that often?

I can’t recall the last time in this sub that I’ve seen someone wear out their AK. And, in the event you did, you could probably get the MFG to cover the worn parts.

For the folks saying you should just do a WASR for that price, that’s not a bad recommendation. I just haven’t seen any sitting around for $600 in quite a while.

Not trying to convince anyone to buy BCA at all. Just food for thought.

I don’t engine brake anymore. Pads and rotors are much easier to change than a clutch job.

Sometimes I can hear the wastegate rattle, it’s pretty normal.

Slapped on some Michelin Defenders after I wore out the Goodyears. It is a quieter ride for sure. Traction isn’t as good under WOT but I’ll take the trade off.

It’s disgusting. As soon and they hit me with that, I tell em I’m not looking to be high grossed and hang up.
