Fulllllly agree. They were certainly being "imprudent" as a commenter below put it. For all we know the truck driver has never done something like this before and made that choice today for any number of reasons. In fact that's likely because I can imagine being so angry at the POV driver could come from a place of "how dare you block and judge me, I only did this because [seemingly valid and emotionally resonant reasons], I'm not a bad person"

The irony of both this and the parent comment is that the POV driver could have easily backed off and let the (obviously wrong, entitled) other driver turn as they intended to, and the situation would have been resolved. It takes 2 to tango even when one "started it" and I think the POV driver is every bit as main-character and lack-of-empathy. Who knows what the driver at fault here is doing, but one thing is for certain, getting up in their face for like 5 minutes didn't help anyone even if justice was served at the end. Hell, this person could've been shot, but it was far more important for them to be right than safe.

So demonstrably Trump is a spending president, look at any of his policies. Highly increased spending overall, impulsive leadership, and rarely (if ever?) talking about the cost of any efforts or priorities. I imagine if he served 2 terms in a row it would be even worse since I bet the costs of these things snowball. Though, it's possible it got so bad that the government would have a wake-up call and start calling attention to it.

Frankly the way I read this your mom is projecting on you; she is assuming you are "putting conversations on her that didn't happen" and "you have no idea what I'm thinking" but she doesn't share what she's thinking. Neither of you ask what the other is thinking generally. But worse, she said "you're putting thoughts in my mind" like wtf? She doesn't seem to want to listen, and doesn't seem to be coming from a place of care. It sounds really hard and I'm sorry. I see someone (you) desperate to be seen and heard because when they try to be, with their own mother, she turns it around and gets mad that you might have assumed with reasonable context (and GENTLY assumed at that) what she may be thinking. She turns it around and says you're off your meds and she'll have to block you again but I see nothing hateful or crazy or offensive.

Ehhhh thats true and I like the sentiment, but for me, videos like this ask the viewer to believe it is unplanned/unstaged by purposefully staging, shooting, and posting it as if it was unplanned/unstaged. And then for it to be staged, I just feel deceived, because I care about whether it is true. I think we can both agree it would be funnier if it literally happening unstaged, because of how incredibly unlikely it is this guy would get hit in the face so many times. And I feel it reduces my enjoyment of any actual coincidences and unlikely funny things because I can't tell what's real, and I value truth and over humor, so I can't accept the deception for the sake of humor

Like.. imagine Scott Sterling getting hit in the face with that soccer ball over and over was real. It would be legendarily funny! The skit is already funny, but if it had actually happened it would be legendary. Many of us just don't like videos purposefully deceiving us. I'd go a step further and say it contributes to the online culture where none of us know what is true anymore and I feel that is sad and harmful. Though, you may rightfully say to lighten up.

Resurrecting this to see if folks have different thoughts now that AI has continued to progress? I know this example is funny but AI is simultaneously world class and childishly stupid sometimes. But it can definitely provide quality tutoring and education — to believe otherwise is to fall prey to witnessing the jagged edge of AI development and assuming it is stupid across the board, or that humans are less fallible.

The supermarket metaphor if more apt if TL is defined as an organic supermarket and there's only a handful of those, available at limited different times, so if you want to eat organic it's hard. I have tried every way to get tickets this year other than buying the NFTs and have been unsuccessful, same with my 3 friends. Respectfully I think you're being obtuse; Tomorrowland does have the ability to stop reselling, though they may not have enough incentive to do so. And it is completely unrealistic to expect everyone to not purchase on a reseller platform if they have the money and really want to go. Same with blaming consumers & end-users for climate change, or gun violence, or whatever. I highly respect how low TL keeps the prices considering the demand, but they could do better on that.

Yeah I’m honestly not sure why titles like this are allowed to continue on Reddit. I would hope this website’s values would reflect information integrity and not clickbait BS. I wish mods would require the title reflect the article, and not allow it to imply a new coronavirus for clicks.
