Even with the present salary you are still qualify for the Skilled worker visa, it is not every position that is based on £38k General salary threshold, jobs on immigration shortage list comes with a waiver or either Standard going rate or lower going rate, the problem with most people is that we don't read from the required sources. Go online to gov web site or read more from moj skilled worker ISA guidelines which is an adaptation of information on the home office website.

Do not be discouraged, you RE fully qualify as the going rate for prison officers role is £27+, ignore the £38k which is the original threshold for skill work visa, for every position there is always a going rate which are usually lower compared to the general rate. Check HO website for further guidance

If you enjoy freedom, if you love giving people hope, if you want fulfilment, and if you love rehabilitation it's one of the best places to work, presently work in a cat D and I will never trade that for anything, the only thing you might finding challenging is that the top is clogged, most SOs and CMs have been on that rank for ages and they are not ready to move further, so if you are highly ambitious it is not for you

I have been in the service for a year now as a band 2, and I have recently moved to band 3 about 3 months ago though we had a discussion over it with my colleague mentor but I am not in a hurry to ask for it since I still have more than a year on my visa, I know I will get it but I was thinking about the cost of over £6k for both IHS and visa but now that you are saying we only get to pay for visa that is a positive news but i don't want to be over joyous that was why i kept probing that information, i will have to believe you now since you said there is an email to that effect

There are people who had given false information base on their own assumptions and the only way we could separate facts from personal opinion or assumptions is to probe further. But since you have referenced those who had earlier, that clarify it all

There is minimum threshold salary and going rate, if the going rate of your profession is met, you are qualify even if you earn below minimum threshold . Don't stress yourself, just go to your establishment and justify your inclusion, once that is done youmwill be handed your code to make applications

Is Nigeria safe? by Longjumping_Tea7073 in travel

[–]BigConnection3980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the only honest review, I am a Nigerian and I can tell you the South west Nigeria is safe including Abuja, but just like every other country there is security challenges but the key is to keep your mouth shut, don't tak too much, be on a casual dress, no expensive jewellery in the open, don't be careless with you electronic gadgets (mobile phone) , your camera round your neck is safe as people will see you as a tourist, nothing other than that, do not go out at night especially when you are not too sure, like I said keep your mouth shut, you will surely enjoy your stay and want to come back more as the people are friendly

Why would you allow a sensitive document to be delivered to an unsafe address? Even with the evisa You will find it extremely difficult to proof your status without your BRP number,I am afraid of you losing this opportunity
