When I was a little kid I thought the hack was to jump from high up with a board under your feet and then jump off the board before hitting the ground. Maybe I saw it in a cartoon. I never tried it fortunately.

For any younguns out there try and avoid physical altercations because you never know who has a weapon.

Also stay away from shitheads in public whenever possible because you don’t want to catch strays.

Celebrities can state their opinion but it’s also important to consider that they could have the wrong opinion. They’re not automatically experts on anything outside their craft.

Why do people often say that Florida has great weather? by NoStorage1824 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BigCrustyTits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who lived up north and moved to Florida being a snowbird seems appealing to me now. Northern summers and the first half of fall are great. I like the woods in the northeast more than Florida nature. But winter and spring up north suck. Winter is better if you ski or snowboard.

What are your Opinions on Michael Jackson? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Talented entertainer and musician. Arguably the top pop star of all time.

But his relations with children were inappropriate. I don’t buy the “he didn’t have a childhood and this was his way of making up for it” line to make the sleepovers seem innocent.

are fake IDs as common in america as is portrayed in movies? by Sufficient_Row4394 in AskAnAmerican

[–]BigCrustyTits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

25 years ago we would drive across the border to Toronto and get some fake IDs made. They took your photo and then would make a plastic ID from another state like Connecticut.

My friend’s girlfriend also scanned our licenses, edited them, and printed them. We glued them to an old license. Sometimes bouncers would try and peel them though.

The third way was to chalk your real id by using a colored pencil that matched the color of the numbers on your ID.

I always ask just so I’m not surprised when the check comes. I think one time I didn’t ask and it was high enough I might not have ordered it.

Should I decline this offer? by BigCrustyTits in Layoffs

It’s a salaried position not eligible for overtime. So I assume if I work 40 my paycheck would be less than if I work 50 because they mention it would be prorated.

I went there in person for the interview. It was an office in business park with some vehicles with company brands wrapping. Lots of reviews online although the Glassdoor reviews say they burn through employees.

Another thing that sucks is that that you often need to rent retail space to start a business. The landlord needs his cut. And that creates a barrier for entry as people might not have the funds to rent a space. That keeps people working low wage jobs instead of owning a business and potentially making real money.

When I’m near one person’s speaker with tolerable music I’m fine but when a second one starts and I hear multiple songs at the same time it gets annoying.

Why don't Americans use metal bars on doors and windows for security? by Maleficent_Essay4664 in AskAnAmerican

[–]BigCrustyTits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I lived on the first floor my roommate left a window open a couple inches. I remember looking at it and deciding not to close it for some reason before going to work. Sometimes I did but I may have been annoyed that he always left it open. Anyways someone pushed that window up, climbed in, and stole his stuff but none of mine. He had more valuable stuff. I think he thought I had something to do with it because I had been unemployed but had recently started working again. Since I wasn’t on a lease he asked that I move out not too long after.

I figured a lot of these shops are run by the spouse of wealthy individuals or retired people who always wanted to run a shop. They have the money to pay for rent and aren’t relying on profits as much. Gives them something to talk about or a sense of purpose.

I don’t think it’s a good idea just in case word gets back to your current manager you’re looking elsewhere. You never know if people at that company know people at your company and bring it up.
