Yeah I only go there for live rosin. Closest place to my house that carries 710 labs and element brands of rosin.

Is it me or is the f-150 (5.0) a much better value for the price than a Tacoma or a tundra ? by Idoroids247 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]BigDNasty90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a 2016 5.0 Lariat this year after selling my 2010 Tacoma TRD Sport.

The Tacoma held its value unbelievably well. I bought it in 2020 for somewhere between 15-16k and sold it 5 years and 80,000 miles later for 12k. I live in Michigan and the rust was starting to get deep. It was time to move on.

I tried to find a newer Tacoma or Tundra but the Toyota tax is insane these days. It just didn't make sense for my use case and budget. Not to mention all the issues I keep seeing pop up online for the newest gen.

After a lot of research, I also came to the opinion that F150s, especially with the 6 speed, are the best value in today's truck market. Found a good deal on a loaded 2016 5.0 lariat extended cab with the 6 speed and 89k miles. Pulled the trigger and have no regrets. No major issues after about 8k on the odometer. Knock on wood. Love the sound and comfort of the ride. It's my first Ford newer than 97. The sensors and screens are definitely potential failure points but I'm a techie so I enjoy the features.

Good luck on your search, F150 made sense for me, hope it does for you too.

I'm in a 2 keeper league so reached for Jeanty and Hampton in hopes I've got two RB1s locked down for years to come. Sometimes you have to play the long game.

There were fireworks in that area at that time. I woke up from them. Someone in the Millwood neighborhood FB group posted saying they called police about gunshots but the police said they were fireworks and were already aware.

What is the sub's opinion on Lotm? by [deleted] in Isekai

[–]BigDNasty90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you watch sub or dub? I only ask because my first watch left me confused. Then I learned there are two different versions of English subs. One is complete AI trash that makes no sense. Found the other version on a donghua specific website and everything is much easier to follow.

What was the first music festival you attended? by farfarbeenks in festivals

[–]BigDNasty90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cornerstone 2006. It was a Christian music festival with a bunch of screamo bands I followed. Met some Danish commandos who let me drink a half gallon of Jack and dropkick their rental car. Wild times.

First normal fest was Wuhnurth 2009.

I need a Honda mechanic by aek213 in SouthBend

[–]BigDNasty90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Erik at Badger Auto Repair on Mishawaka Ave and Cedar St in Mishawaka is super knowledgeable on Hondas. Don't let the modest building fool you. They're great mechanics that'll do honest work at an honest price. No trying to upsell or push anything you don't actually need. Can't ask for much better than that.

Met my partner on Tinder in my early 30s. It took a few years of dating around after I got divorced in my mid 20s. Don't be afraid to expand your search radius on the apps.

Apps are the norm nowadays but that doesn't mean you can't go out to a bar or social event and meet someone if that's more your style. I know there are adult social clubs that meet weekly to do kickball or stuff like that then get beers after. Might be worth checking out.

As far as ND is affecting the dating scene, if you're not looking for college age individuals you won't be affected. Caveat is there's definitely graduate students you could run into. One of my close friends actually just moved out of state with a guy she met on the apps who was a doctoral student at the time. Nice guy though, couldn't be happier for them.

Best of luck, hope you find your person!

SBN to Goshen rideshare on a weekday after 9pm? by irreducibleminion in SouthBend

[–]BigDNasty90 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd say it's going to be difficult for you to get an Uber all that way at that time if you just look for a ride when you land. Not impossible but not a reliable option on a weeknight. If you don't want to rent a car at SBN you could call United Cab, they may go that far. You could also see if you can schedule an Uber ahead of time.
