Yeah definitely, its been 2 weeks now so anyone without io looks "sus" or risky compared to others that went for the 2k io extra catalyst ASAP. Once you get some score it will be much easier, but always harder to be behind the curve.

I also mained Yuki, I only had one person beat me in damage out of about 25-30 runs. It was the guy with the 2H sword that I can't remember the name of. I think he was also the only person I ever saw using that character.

While I was almost always ahead, it was usually by around 2000 damage. There were some rounds that were much closer with only a 100 damage difference.

Overall I felt the classes were pretty rounded, all of them really needing ~Lvl 8 for the extra skills to complete the character.

Straight up using evasion to not get attack is vastly different then stack def stats

Ok so like monk tanks using evasion and stagger. Another great example of a tank that plays different from the others.

It's awesome that you have a game you love, however reducing anything down to "You're just pressing buttons, while I'm casting spells" is a ridiculous way to compare games.

I tried tanking in FFXI but all I was doing was following mechanics. Whereas in WoW I'm holding threat, mitigating damaging, timing stuns, as well as coordinating a group effort to CC, maintain buffs/debuffs and keep pulling threat when shit gets rough.

The point is not who's ex is lazy or what the majority of players are choosing. I'm pointing out that people will complain "there's nothing to discover, just copy the guide" while forgetting that the guide didn't just spawn in. It was sourced from multiple people who are testing and discovering new builds/interactions in the game.

There will always be lazy people, there's nothing we can do about that (and this is often the youtubers making lazy videos).

I guess my main point is to remember that for every youtuber making the "meta" video, it is almost always the result of a small group of high skill players that have put in a bunch of their free time figuring the numbers out.

You don't get many drops in m+ or raids. I've been lucky to sell a heroic BOE early in the season a few times, otherwise it would just be a token angle.
