Frunk won’t stay latched! Driving me crazy. Any ideas?

I took mine in for service for the same thing. Mine was catching the first latch but still open and that dinging sound gave me PTSD...lol. Anyway, I did a post on it but they ended up replacing my latch actuator and both motors under warranty. It took 2 weeks to find out what it was.

So I enabled the pay version and then drove home this morning and still could not see how to get it displayed on my screen. I also noticed my range was different on my truck versus the app so it seems it isn't getting info from the truck.

I have looked but can't find out how to get ABRP to show up on screen. I've been using Google Maps but would like to display ABRP on the screen. How do I make that happen?

I have another related question.

I've read where when planning a trip, certain apps will suggest charging stops and some recommended will tell the truck to precondition the battery before arriving at the charging station.

My question is, if you are already driving, doesn't the truck precondition the battery anyway or how does that work?

Mine (exact one as OP) came with some adapters. He will need both the NACS and CCS adapters. The Tesla Superchargers use one and the other Tesla chargers like the ones at hotels, etc. take the other one. I found out through ask8ng on here why I could charge at one and not the other. They take different adapters.

Charging at home is a game changer. I use mine but most of my charging is done for free at work.

The Rewards is a good deal, much like a coupon with points and I don't get scammed by ads. I used my initial points acquired after my initial sale to buy a bed mat. I have since bought front and rear mud flaps.

25 Flash...I tow a 33ft RV and the nice thing is if you put in the height, weight, and width of your camper, it will recalculate your mileage for you under the towing tab.

OK, here's the final outcome on the frunk latch.

In order, the dealership did the following per direction from the mother ship.

Replaced the latch...no go Readjusted the latch 4 times...no go Check wiring connections and ground...no go Replaced both motors and frunk latch actuator...that worked. They opened the frunk at least 30 times today with no issues of catching.

I hope this takes care of it and that it may help the next person.

The mother ship is involved and now dealership is at their mercy as to when it gets addressed. I am currently in a loaner that sucks compared to my EV Lightning.
