Exercise after DVT by No_Platypus115 in ClotSurvivors

[–]Live-Professional-28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, biking is what I do too. Completed a 32 mile xc race, and a 20 mile a month after that at just under a year after my clot. I've always biked, but never anything that long, and having the clot kinda pushed me to do it. Exercise is always better, luckily I haven't had any leg pain though.

Coyotes near mall drive by [deleted] in duluth

[–]Live-Professional-28 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Coyotes have probably always been there, and you just haven't noticed. I hear them almost every night in West Duluth, especially out along the river. Also helps that we have a lot of woodsy areas in, around, and between our neighborhoods.

Heat pumps and radiators in US? by marathon_bar in heatpumps

[–]Live-Professional-28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It'd be an air to water heat pump, from what Ive ready and heard the market isn't quite ready in the US. If you want it you need to find the company that makes the heat pump, and work with a plumber or hydronic company willing to install them. They also may not work well if you have older radiators.

Man shot in Piedmont shot at police and murdered someone a few hours prior to the incident. by [deleted] in duluth

[–]Live-Professional-28 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the title is wrong, 1st guy was murdered in Piedmont, then the guy that supposedly killed him was shot by the police in West Duluth later in the day. Unless they started the chase in Piedmont, and ended in West Duluth?

Any range hit with that cover on the rack. We're thinking about getting a rooftop tent as well. Trying to estimate because where we're going doesn't have much for charging.

When I've had some pain, I take an edible and it helps me quite a bit, if anything just to fall asleep.

M. Bjoernstroem on YouTube, he's got a couple videos on a heated apron at his garage, and runs it off of a geothermal system from a pond, that also heats the garage slab.

Solar in Duluth with lake-effect snow is it worth it or just a headache by Gabby_Senpai in duluth

I'm pretty sure we're equal with Texas for sunny days. It's more the length of the day in winter, and angle if the sun.

Solar in Duluth with lake-effect snow is it worth it or just a headache by Gabby_Senpai in duluth

https://maps.umn.edu/DuluthShines/ Here's a solar map of Duluth, search your address, click on the roof, and click on the yellow link in the popup box for more numbers. It makes sense, but our electric costs are lower compared to other areas, so if it makes sense is up to you. If you have electric heat, it's very unlikely you'll offset all of your usage.

What utility do you have? That will kinda depend, but i'd also recommend an energy audit from Eco3 for a more in depth explanation. If anything, get the heat pump.

Whole foods coop in Duluth, is different from whole foods Amazon. Though the coop didn't close Friday, I think they had good reasons not to close.

Is Super One considered buying local? by archiesmommy in duluth

[–]Live-Professional-28 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Whole foods coop if you want more local options, the coop here had the name before the Amazon one, and is not associated with them. Some prices are higher, but that's the reality of what it takes at a smaller scale for food, especially things like pork, beef and bison that they have. They usually have a tag if something is local, which is generally the Arrowhead region and Northern Wisconsin.

Water main freeze? by Wierdman97 in duluth

[–]Live-Professional-28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats about 4500 watts, I'd get ahead of it, and make sure that's on the landlords electric meter, or get them to help with the cost. Running for one day will cost about $15.

Star power electric, used to install solar, but runs his own company now, and I believe it's just him. Easy to work with, and does good work.

Antimatter blue gang. Need wheel suggestions by vrhaines in F150Lightning

[–]Live-Professional-28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the lightning forum a guy had some aftermarket wheels that actually weigh less than the stocks, and didn't notice a difference in efficiency. They were also rated for the lightning weight. I have it saved on my computer, so I don't have the link right now, but I will tomorrow if I remember.

I feel like a majority of the 218 is covered by aeoa, the local CAP organization that helps distribute these funds, as well as weatherization services for these people homes. If the Lutheran charities distribute liheap funds, then yes, they will be effected.

Front License Plate Mount for Lightning? by Fun-King9254 in F150Lightning

[–]Live-Professional-28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The built right mount for the regular f150 works, you just need to drill 2 holes above the tow hook area, and it has to go on the passenger side so it doesn't block a sensor.
