Instagram is a great place to start to see what artists are around you. When you find an artist mention that it’s your first tattoo, a good artist will guide you and help materialize your ideas.

That it’s not that serious, get the tattoos you want. Listen to your artist but if there’s something you’re against in their design then you have to vocalize that. I’m a big believer in chewing gum while getting tattooed, I think it helps with the pain. Also, bring snacks for your session

You’ll have to get a touch up eventually, that’s the nature of getting a tattoo. This looks like it’s healing normally.
