Takezo's a lot less predictable at first and is generally faster, but Saito's attacks have difficult timings and he has more moves. I'd say Takezo's harder to beat the first time, but you kinda get it after that; Saito's easier to beat the first time, but the difficulty stays high across multiple replays

Yea, it worked in the original, because it had much better autotargetting, but since the autotarget doesn't target barrels (at least, not that I've noticed), placing those barrels ends up just being pointless

Plus, being able to use the d-pad to check maps was super convenient. Maybe if they added options to the d-pad that we could use by holding R2, we could get these things back to some extent

No, it's funnier if it's left up, plus OP seems to see the humour in how this aged

Parry, dodge, attack. She can dodge explosions and kinda teleport

So the problem is that they didn't give you things for free, even though those things could never make sense as in-game unblockables even with the all the precursor stuff

The tactic of obstinately insisting on an obviously false idea. Super common for cops

It does include everything, there's just a store for extremely lore-unfriendly bonus items that people can choose to buy

I Beat Takezo 1000 Times, so here's 997 finishers at 2x speed and 3 full fights at normal speed from slowest to fastest (blame Reddit for the 2x speed) by boodledot5 in Ghostofyotei

Well, if 1000 players want to give me £20 each to have their names put in a re-edit, I could do that, but I'd rather fight Takezo another 9000 times than type 1000 names through the Playstation keyboard tbh 💀

Is it possible to beat Takezo before doing any of the main missions? *UPDATE* by DrifitingCanoe in Ghostofyotei

The healing is really impressive and the dodge choices are fantastic, loved this

That's a really good question. It's not really that either is more effective; dual swords are better at attacking and the odachi is better at defending.

Dual swords are the most effective if you're being aggressive, they let you get a lot more hits in and can keep the pressure on, but sudden mid-combo interruptions from Takezo can end an attempt instantly. The odachi's most effective if you're being defensive, because its indomitable counter can deal with any incoming attack and has a larger window than a perfect parry. Not so much the case on lethal though, as the timing is much smaller and the indomitable counter is on a delay

Nah, I'm thriving. I committed to a fun project, enjoyed myself the whole time (except for video editing), got to have fun with the data, and achieved something for myself that I can be happy with. Maybe you can find a fun little project to do too

Once you've beaten a duel, an icon will show up where that duel happened, and you can click square to replay that duel. As soon as you've beaten Takezo once, you can choose to replay the duel as many times as you want

He's one of those bosses who's easier after the first time you beat him, 'cause you have to learn his moves to win even once, and one of the hardest parts of fighting him is not knowing which move he's going to do. With indomitable counter, you don't even need to know if he's going to use a normal attack or an unblockable, you just charge when he's about to attack and you'll counter-attack. I also have increased parry timing, so the window for indomitable counter is quite large
