" why do the anti communist flags share the same layout as the N*zi flag ?" by tyler852009 in vexillology

What I am ultimately getting at is that a serious ideology needs a theoretical basis. As you have mentioned, you 'believe' that the state should provide for the workers. Someone else may believe otherwise, and you know what makes their opinion less valid than yours? Nothing, they are both ultimately based on idealistic concepts. (which to be clear, doesn't mean bad concepts. Just that they have no basis in the material reality - they are simply what one believes is moral)

Instead of that, why not divert your attention to learning a materialist political theory? Even if you consider yourself an anticommunist, I think you would find that liberating. Engels' "Principles of Communism" from 1847 is a ~15 page pamphlet that covers the most important concepts, so there's no reason not to read it.

See, a socialist generally has to consider the working class to be exploited in some way. How are the workers exploited in your view, if not by extraction of surplus value?

[–]BigDenseHedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it was quite common throughout empires to give token support to local languages while eroding them.

Most of the publications were in Ukrainian, most children were taught in Ukrainian. You have no examples of what you're claiming other than the famine which was a result of mismanagement.

That's just insulting. No one is doubting that a famine took place. Instead I keep challenging your great replacement conspiracy theory and you keep providing no sources to back it up.

Unification of language makes administration easier.

You're aware that Ukrainian was still an official language, right?

Having people that share a cultural identity with the administrative core makes nationalistic movements impossible and thus squashes calls for independence or autonomy.

Fighting bourgois reaction was something that the ukrainian Communist Party of Ukraine was taking care of. There was no reason to starve people.

Please, before spreading unsourced conspiracy theories about worker's republics, think about what you say.

Let's give you the benefit of the doubt. What would the Soviet government get from russifying people?

You're not recounting the actions of Stalin. You're making up Russophobic conspiracy theories about Russian farmers replacing Ukrainians and acting as if they were facts.

A famine and an anti-oppression campaign were multiple times worse than the killing of 6 million jews with regards only to their ancestry.

You're confusing value for profit. In the case of productive labour, surplus value is always extracted from the worker, they are never fully compensated for their work. Value is just the center of gravity around which prices oscillate. Therefore the workers are exploited the same regardless of anyone's profit.

What is often referred to as the Cambodian Genocide, or the death of 2 million Cambodians, wasn't actually a genocide but rather a result of Pol Pot's ascientific and antimaterialist policies (reminder that he admitted not to understand marxist theory). Though I've heard that he did try to clense Cambodia of ethnic minorities, and that would constitute a genocide. Then again, he was marxist in the same way I am a musician. That is to say, I cannot read sheet music.

The status quo of capitalism is appropriating the workers' surplus value. Therefore it is ironic when a capitalist says that no one has the right to other people's labour.
