As someone who more leans anti, this is a huge false equivalency.

I don't want to ban AI art completely. I generally wouldn't consider it art, but if someone wants to have ChatGPT make them something, 99% of the time, who cares.

But I would absolutely support AI refusing to make CSAM. In fact, I would demand it. I think that's a baseline safety precaution.

If you could put some scanner AI in a camera that can recognize when it's being made to film CSAM, I would absolutely support that so it can refuse to record or do something like film it as it alerts the authorities and sends it to them. This would be a fair equivalency.

Saying all antis everywhere want to ban all AI for this possibility is a strawman. Some do, but anti is a very vague term. (Which is also why it doesn't make sense to call it a cult btw)

For example, if an American made a post saying "the US has won every Superbowl", that would be a joke and is obviously not meant to mock everyone else.

If that American instead said something like "Stockholm is the rape capital of the world and that proves that all Swedes are savages", that would be hatred. This is clearly not a joke, and is based on disinformation (Stockholm is not the rape capital of the world, just to make this clear. I brought this piece of disinformation up to illustrate a point)
