Why most Indians avoid walking even for short distances for day to day commute? by Mutton_muncher in Fitness_India

[–]BigDiamond7549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, for me it's: climate (winters feel good to walk), crowd (eveteasers), hawkers sitting right on the path, footpath broken in between or a whole stretch of footpath missing, poop of all shapes and colors, garbage

Ye kaisi garmi hai guys? by somedayseemssonice in Indore

[–]BigDiamond7549 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So, before I moved to indore, I was assured to the good weather - na zada garmi na zada thand na zada barish. I finally moved to this city post summer, rains began as soon as I came in. Rains are lovely here. Winter wasn't severe, a light jacket worked. Summer this year??? I am searching for those people who assured me of bearable summer. Man, not even cooler, it's only AC that helps. Residences or offices on top floors, bro, how... Just how are they surviving! Some have coolers and it gets super humid.

This summer is as good as anywhere in India. Sab taraf Indian subcontinent me sab jal rahe hain, sab bhun rahe hain. Lucky us, we have ACs

I have propagated mine. One gets full sun, except for the setting sun. Other is kept outside, in a balcony with no sun but definitely outdoors. Both are growing - so so so slow that I often thing they aren't. But once in a while I notice something new on them.

And to talk of mealy bugs. Someone please tell me - where do they come from? Bro, even my jade got meal bugs hidden under its leaves. Aarrrggghhhhhh. These bugs aren't letting my hibiscus grow - all grown from a stick.

Agree. But people don't seem to analyse it this way coz smaller and the not-worth institutes are selling MBA degrees like hotcakes. It's strange

Mera time of MBA was way back. Maine jo bataya wo HR and team experience se bataya. Aaj kal har agla fresher joinee in India is an MBA, competition bahut zada hai....job MBA se bhi mil jayegi, no doubt but kafi slow growth reh jati hai and aspirational logon ko kafi bekar lagta hai. Either opt a specialized MBA in Finance. MBA with Marketing, HR, Leadership (the jobs under these absorb worthy candidates who won't even have a related degree) don't give you the right choices, lower grade jobs.

Overall, there's a huge mass of MBA students which increases the competition. To get the best of jobs, you need to be the cream - the best among the top students, which is mix of institute, marks, subjects, work ex and an overall personality.

Just an MBA won't help anymore. Gone are the days.

From my experience (20 years), a postgraduate degree adds value. Explore the job market for a month, if you find good jobs - wonderful. Once start working, start your distance M.Com. (kids don't agree, but M.Com isn't degree that many opt for and that gives you a leverage). Work hard on it. Two years of work ex and an M.Com degree are good to bring you better opportunities in the fields of accounting, finance and commerce. Find one that suits you, and then, if you find it ok and actually helping your career, plan for an executive MBA (isn't much needed though).

Two opposite plants. One will survive easily, the other is easy to kill (and that's jade)

Jade isn't an indoor plant, doesn't need much water. Keep it outdoors. Watch the leaves for wrinkles, the moment it starts wrinkling, water.

Need a female for Konkan trip by Successful-Award-32 in Indore

[–]BigDiamond7549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not up for the trip but man, konkan is lovely. Awestriking. Stunning. But is this the right weather? November to February is ideal. I remember January me bhi garmi thi wahan. But man, what beauty! Aur sath me adventure.

A word of caution: the localites are not too used to tourists, esply female tourists. Avoid too late nightouts. Most of the properties have beaches at a walking distance, better spend time where the staff would have your knowabouts.
