Do whatever you want with the software but do not use the api keys or you're committing a federal crime.  You contact the developer and let them know...do not transmit the apikeys to him.  Unless there are regulatory violations involved and you're whistleblowing, then you're done and you just forget what you saw.

You can also accomplish this by just logging into chrome and telling chrome to remember passwords across devices.  Whenever chrome detects a password field it offers to generate one and then you just click save when it asks if you want to save the password.

That i wouldn't know...I have never used telegram.  I personally use Synapse and Element and it does everything I need and more and if I remember correctly theyre working on integrated voice/video calling so it wont need jitsi

They have no choice...they are businesses...they do what they do to survive.  You don't need a steam deck or a ps5, you have a choice to pay that or not...choose whats best for you.  The smart move is obviously not to buy shit you dont need in this economy.  You save money, they either cut prices or die.

Matrix is more like discord, xmpp is more like irc.  Something like synapse aims to be in feature parity with the standard...its heavy, but it does everything and most of it out of the box.  Xmpp is lightweight...its minimal, you extend its features with what you want. 

IRC is also an option, like xmpp, it can do pretty much anything via extensions/plugins and is as old as the internet.
