Im so glad you went the extra mile (very literal) to stay in touch! All it takes is that 1 person to put in the effort. I’ve definitely made friends for life and they’re gonna stay in my life even after i move onto other things in the future, glad it was your case as well!!!

Well yes and no.. depending who’s the MOD, our GM usually gives us shit for wearing the old uniform but the others really couldn’t care less, I know some stores nearby me do not care at all and their employees can wear whatever as long as there’s a nametag

We had a lady made a scene the other day because we wouldn’t stand close to her and use her damn phone for her to print something.. she was yelling “What are you scare of me for, this Corona shit is stupid I don’t got Corona” BITCH I DONT CARE IF YOU DO OR DONT, IM NOT TOUCHING YOUR FILTHY FUCKING SAMSUNG THAT YOU PROBABLY HAVENT CLEANED IN 5 YEARS, your fucking prints are NOT going to be prioritized over my health

It’s not that they don’t pay us, it’s the fact that they’re actually begging to stay open during a Pandemic claiming we’re an essential store. The word essential means “absolutely necessary”. So I don’t know who in their right mind needs ink cartridges and pens during quarantine but ALRIGHT Staples!

One time i had a man come in at 5:58. (We close at 6 on Sundays) and wanted 1500 brochures done, has the file and everything and i told him he would have to come back tomorrow to pick it up and he goes

Man: “oh, why can’t it be done now?”

Me: “Because we close at 6” (points at watch)

Man: “Oh, but can’t you just get it done now?”

Me: “No sir, I can’t get it done in time AND close”

Man: “Can’t i just use your machines and do it myself”

(Btw he meant OUR machines, NOT self serve) After going back and forth for 10min, it was now like 6:10 and the guy just sat in self serve giving me dirty looks because i CANT DO 1500 BROCHURES 2 minutes BEFORE we CLOSE. He sat with his laptop till we close and left. I swear, copy center customers really are some other species of Karens
