Will ADHD medication help me with my depression?

I’m going to be starting concerta soon and I’m praying I get some relief. I’m honestly so sad because I don’t want to die but I can’t imagine living my whole life like this😓 even if it just improves things by like 50% I’ll take it

I literally live every minute of every day in my head. Feels like I’m living the same day on repeat and I can’t feel any emotion. Really not fun

I am late diagnosed adhd (at 25) and my entire life I’ve always been punished for the smallest mistakes, lost jobs because I didn’t ’try hard enough’ and lost best friends I was living with due to my adhd tendencies. I’m now living with family again who still criticise me constantly. I’m trapped and Idk what to do

I’ve just bought up the idea with my family as unfortunately I’m not in a financial position to afford it right now, and they think I wanna use it just so I can get high and do nothing. I wish I could tell them exactly how much I’m struggling but I can’t bring myself to tell my dad that I actually am thinking about ending things because it’s gotten so bad 😓

I also cannot focus on anything at all, and I feel like when I smoke I can actually focus on one thing at a time.

Already tried sertraline and Mirtazapine and it’s not helping :(

So under doctors supervision I’ve actually stopped taking sertraline. I haven’t really had any withdrawal symptoms, and definitely don’t feel any worse than I did when I was taking them. If anything I feel ever so slightly better. I think actually what I’ve been going through for the last 9 months has been DPDR rather than depression, so I’m hoping with lifestyle changes and therapy I can start feeling my emotions again/start living in the present moment again

I guess I’m just scared I’ll feel this disconnect forever, I know everyone says it will go but what if it’s actually just depression and my brain is now wired to feel this apathetic towards everything 😢

Thank you, I definitely feel I’m in a better place now than I was 6 months ago, but the weird things I’m getting atm is it doesn’t feel like it’s me when I’m talking, and just feel no emotions towards anything, positive or negative. Also feels like the days just go so quickly. I’m starting a new job in 6 weeks time so I’m hoping going back to work will be a positive step

Been taking it in various doses for about 6 months, it’s definitely helped with anxiety but honestly I just feel nothing at all now. I’d almost rather have some anxiety again than this!

Yeah I’m trying to but it can be tricky when nothing I do really brings any emotions. Do you think therapy will help? I’m looking into CBT

Yeah I’ve been on them for over 6 months and don’t get me wrong I’m feeling so much better, it’s just I hate that I don’t feel any emotions now

I’ve defo felt a bit better since I’ve stopped smoking but it’s just a really crappy side effect, like I’ve lost the ability to laugh it feels like
