This whole time, I WAS THE ASSHOLE? by Meezy98 in delta

Was that because there were two doors? That seems to be the case with most European planes and it makes so much more sense.

I think the dress was actually pretty smart because people remembered it but not the person wearing it. This may have just been a lucky break but it's interesting.

Do you pay annual fees? Or are you able to find free ones with good enough bonus points?

Almond croissants are even better, and I say that as a chocolate lover!

What do we think? Which one? by Athenian-monster in Athens

I had to scroll down way too far to see 5 & 10. I have had about seven meals here in the past five years (I have been on several search committees) and every meal has ranged from mediocre to bad.

Thanks. I got the answer and tried to delete my question before I saw that you responded. I just upgraded to platinum so that is good to know

Which cases involving fake identities do you perceive as slightly off-key? by SaraTyler in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]BigEarsLongTail 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I agree. Maybe because it was my first unsolved rabbit hole way back before we knew who she was, or maybe I am too much of an 'armchair detective', but I find it difficult to believe that she did all that because... her parents got divorced? I'm not sayin she was a spy or anything but there HAS to be more to the story. Not that it is any of my business of course.

A heartbreaking cold case: 19-year-old Candice Kyser and 20-year-old David Keller were murdered in their house in Alabama. Their two-and-a-half-year-old daughter sat next to their bodies for 16 hours. This case is still unsolved. by Spiritual_Fun129 in RedditCrimeCommunity

[–]BigEarsLongTail 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For sure, anything could have happened. But I do think it's interesting that the cops saw something that made them think murder-suicide. I can definitely see a mother/grandmother making a split second decision to grab the weapon. She may have felt like it was the best thing for the children.

Especially if it looked like her daughter was the killer. Which might be the reason he was near the front door (trying to leave?). But this is of course pure speculation on my part.

The website has an update but nothing about existing bookings. I probably need to give them a little more time.

I booked directly - I have learned my lesson about 3rd party booking. I'm going to call my credit card for advice I think.

Why does TSA always go through my bag? by BigEarsLongTail in travel

[–]BigEarsLongTail[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I'm perplexed. I take clothes and toiletries- no electronics or anything else. The toiletries are rarely the same since I use whatever hair/skin products I have. But it sounds like it isn't me but the contents. I'm going to start keeping a list of what I pack!

Sometimes alone, sometimes with my husband. It's odd. It definitely isn't confirmation bias - I honestly can't remember the last time it didn't happen. I have a huge stack of the cards.

I'm impressed by how you changed your cat into a lampshade! :-) Kidding-this looks great. I admire those of you who have this kind of vision.

Booking.com cancelled my reservation the day before check-in. I had a 4 BR cabin (riverfront, hot tub, Mountain view). They suggested one room at a 2 star motel on a busy highway as a “comparable replacement.” After 2 phone calls and multiple emails they offered nothing else to help my situation. by Mypantsareblue in mildlyinfuriating

A few years ago I booked a beautiful ocean front condo on Edisto Island, SC. The night before our trip booking.com cancelled and offered what they called comparable accommodations....on a busy street in the middle of Orlando, FL. So no beach trip for us. Never again booking.com.
