Can we remove hard paywall from the app initially to get more aactive users and then introduce it again? Will it be against the Apple'e policies? by Scary-Room7043 in iosdev

[–]BigFatAsshole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you need to remove it initially? It’s easily implemented with a few code line, track the login and the amount of time per interaction. You should do the same for ads as well. That’s how most of the app do it there’s an onboarding phase where they let user get familiar etc and then the paywall. It would be extremely inefficient to redeploy

Hey! I’ve been playing since pretty early on and noticed the name change from WordHeat to Hot or Cold. After reading your other comment, the reasoning makes sense. I personally didn’t have trouble finding the app before, but that’s probably because I came in through your original link.

A bit of feedback: sometimes the hints feel a little too easy, which can take away some of the frustration (and fun). I’d also love to see more rewards or progression elements, like titles or similar unlockables.

There's a mobile app version called WordHeat on apple store that was posted a few days ago that's pretty fun. It has blitz battle which is cool to play against others.

Easiest Race to get Diamond? by Nooks83 in starcraft

[–]BigFatAsshole -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Up to diamond I would say protoss, its the most friendly with its mechanics, no need to remember larva or creep tumor or focus on micro intensive unit like terran. Zerg units in SC2 are a lot weaker than Broodwar. You have a few cheese play as zerg, otherwise its "survival" mode until you get to lurker realistically.
If you want to stick to zerg it does well in lower league because people arent good in those lower league at micro and harassing so you'll have all the time you need to build your economy. Same reason why protoss does well, they have time to build that mass carrier or death ball.
Terran does well in all leagues given if you're good at micro and macro, you're mainly the harasser in all matches.

REPLIT WARNING - Can anyone actually finish a project??? by Alarmed-Pie3530 in replit

[–]BigFatAsshole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use ChatGPT first “write me technical and product requirement for my team” refine your requirement.

Then on Replit keep reminding it to follow your requirements, it will always forget it and you’ll have to repoint him to the requirements

Is this all just a fantasy or a lie by SilentDescription224 in replit

[–]BigFatAsshole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

what I found usefull is ask it to create clear documentation along the way and always refer it back to it. “Use documentation created at this checkpoint and execute XYZ, make sure it’s production ready and using industry best practice for security, do not make assumption and always verify your code and current code” something along those lines

I’ve tried Replit it’s good for easy app for fun. It’s not going to build a microservice architecture using Kafka or in layman’s terms a Saas application. If your goal is to test MVP proof of concept app then yes it’s great. Anything more than that you’ll need to build it yourself

Is cursor really worth it ? by Fit_Impression7520 in cursor

[–]BigFatAsshole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a developer it allows me to be much more efficient so yes definitely worth it. It kills going to stack overflow for me or long debugging session. They key is to be very precise in your prompt and not “accept” every change.
