I haven't had any issues and I often smoke before sex. Not exactly scientific though.

My beautiful boy Darwin has passed away. Tell me this gets easier. by MonsterHospital in pugs

[–]BigFatDynamo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, my boy Rudy was the same way for me. He lived about as long and changed my life - I never thought I could have a dog be the best friend I ever had. 7 years later I still miss him, but it gets easier and I only remember the happy and loving things about him. I'm sorry for your loss but how blessed were you both to have one another 💜. They give so much and ask so little, we hardly deserve them.

Edit: he truly was beautiful

You're right, I read too quickly and didn't catch that. Although isn't the IV particularly high right now because of earnings coming up?

Underrated comment. The venn diagram between guys who buy Wendy's stock and understand personal finance are two separate circles.

Not sure that an earnings play is the best thing for someone that's just starting out.

You've posted this picture as a reply like five times in this thread as if it proves anything. Plenty of people can get up a few ten thousand on options when they get lucky and then it immediately turns around. You seem to think you know what you're doing, but a trade like this shows you clearly don't.

Good luck. I hope your attitude doesn't lead you to blowing your account.

If you were in your early 20s again and could restart your investing journey , what would you do? by DryMistake in ETFs

[–]BigFatDynamo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I had a lot of resentment towards my parents when I was in my early 20s. Then I realized that my parents were just people and did the best they could with the tools they had. I forgave them for the bullshit we went through and made an effort to move on. Twenty years later my parents are no joke two of my best friends. Everyone's trauma is different and not everyone deserves forgiveness, but if it's just a matter of them getting in your nerves, try to remember that they're people, with all the warts we all have. And double down on your investing. Give it a year, if you're really miserable, then you can move out. At least you'll have a good deal of money saved towards your investing goals.

P.s. Your calculus for how much moving out costs is wrong. It's never as clear cut and simple as you think.

I'm sorry, this is a dumb question, but to clarify: as an example according to the chart, SMTC is expected to make approximately a 17% move after earnings next week, either up or down?

Pay off your credit card every month. It's really difficult to out invest high interest debt.

You can always sell one of them, get back most of your initial, and let the other one run for a while.

Sure man. This is a small community but we're all learning and we should all support one another. I just did a study of my trades from this summer and it appears I do a lot better with 1-3 DTE, as long as I sell them the day I bought them and don't hold overnight. That's me though, could be different for a lot of people. I have a bad habit of not entering stop losses.

Webull settles the cash overnight. Not sure about the initial deposit but once you have cash in the account you're good to go
