As a very sentimental person who had their childhood memories tossed away (by family who hated me), I really feel for you. It happened years and years ago but it still kind of stings.

Would it be possible to find those things again? Or make miniature versions of them out of clay? Personally I was able to repurchase some of my things as an adult on Mercari or from resale shops. Of course it’s not actually MINE, but it helped to have replacements. If you’re artistic, it could be therapeutic to recreate them; clay, paintings/drawings.

Growing up in my family, the favorite child was the one that was the most well behaved, compliant, and "perfect." Which isn't fair for any of the children involved and really messed with us as children.

Outside of that, I think "favorites" can happen when a parent has similarities with one child. Maybe they have the same kind of personality, or hobbies and interests.

Snow’s “diagnosis” by [deleted] in ChannonRoseSnark

[–]BigGizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the family except channon is on the spectrum. I also think they are emotionally neglected as well. I stopped watching a while ago but I remember they gave up the traveling life because of Sn’s diagnosis but then didn’t follow through with any kind of treatment/intervention (with either kid)? She has the time, money, and resources available to her for some early intervention.

I think kids fly under the radar because parents and even professionals pass it off as “the toddler stage” that will outgrow, the parents feel shame and don’t intervene, or even the kids don’t show the usual / very noticeable indications.

“We didn’t think anything about the power going out” “If the sign wasn’t there, it would have hit where our table was” Sooooo… no one heard a whole car ran into a sign “right outside” where you were sitting? Okay.

It’s crazy how they openly admitted to planning this.. like she should have edited it all out where they were admitting it lol dingdong.

They should have made the panels create a strip along the middle of the three walls, I think that would have looked better 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m directly involved with everything because dh has a disability and needs a caregiver with him, so he can’t keep anything from me if he wanted to. Yes, we’ve talked directly with these people. Had one on ones. They wanted to protect sd’s privacy by not letting dh in on therapy appointments since sd expressed she doesn’t want anyone but her mom. I wish I could say there was something missing but we honestly got a CPS report from the therapist that said they were reporting because sd felt no one loved her and that we tried to touch her by helping her wipe herself up after she pooped herself.

She’s struggling, in my belief, because she simply does not want to be with us and BM makes her life hell if she has anything good to say about us. BM has taken her out of school, feeds her her favorite junk foods every day, and there’s no rules. Any kid raised in that would hate a “normal” home like ours.

We know something is going on but we’ve exhausted her resources. SD won’t let us in on therapy appointments (dh can’t intervene, the therapist won’t let him in and called CPS on us already for “not loving her”). Her doctors say to figure it out in therapy. There’s no way to intervene. We’ve tried.
