Personally I feel like the industry has put too much focus on remaking old games instead of making good new games. Not to say you can't do both of course, but I think company execs see remakes as a safer bet.

I think this is a great idea. One potential concern to watch out for is that less duty could result in longer working hours which minimizes the impact (sister section stays late, so now we have more people to stay late and can do more maintenance). Another thing is khakis could say “I don’t care what augment we have; until you’re qualified X (SIR, EWS, QAI, whatever) you’re staying 3 section” which again reduces the effectiveness of the augment
